We were glad to have you join us. If you haven't seen it, I did a short ride report from Saturday. It's in the thread "Where did you ride in MS today?" You'll have to look back a few pages.

Yea, and I followed by two short fall reports and a picture of a cheeseburger.

Hi,

Just figured I'd stop and check in since I'm new here. Been riding/building bikes for a while now and just picked up my first dual sport... 09 klr 650. I bought it as a reliable commuter to ride to work because I can take all country roads and gravel roads if I want to. I also have a 74 sportster chopper and a 76 suzuki ts400 that I often throw in the mix when I'm not working on them

Just looking to meet up with some fellow riders and find some cool stuff to ride on and off the pavement

Hey guys, I have been looking for a bigger bike for a month or so- I found a buyer for my 2007 xt225 and it should be gone this week. I saw an ad for a 1994 DR650 in Tupelo, MS...From the pictures it seems to be in good shape. It has 16,000 miles on it. I'm a little concerned about buying a bike that is 18 years old PLUS the guy is firm at $1600, and I think that is overpriced.. I really want to get another bike, and I have not seen many DR650s in my price range (I cant afford anything over 1600).. I would love to hear some opinions before I decide to drive 3 hrs to look at it.

Don't you really want a 2009 KLR? I know the owner and he is a really swell feller and a lot closer than Tupelo! (just a little more expensive!)

Anyone Flying Southwest the rest of this year? I have 8 drink coupons that I won't use and will expire Dec 31st free of charge if you'll use them. Save yourself about $50. I've got them at the store (Wine and Spirits in the Quarter on Lakeland Dr in Jackson) in my office. PM me to make sure I'll be there when you come by. If you need me to, I can stick them in the mail.

I did not give much more than that for my 06 a few years ago but it was not as clean looking as that 94, if your not in a hurry I would shop around a little bit more, but thay have not really changed anything about the bike since 1996 I don't think. I guess I would have to go look at it before I could say that it is worthy it. Just my two cents.

that's a really clean looking bike. I do think it's a tad over priced. unless it's got new chain sprockets, tires, breaks, all fluids have been flushed, and maybe a one owner bike. then 1600 might not be to bad. but if these things are not new and are warn then those are barging chips. I have a 82XL500R yes I've done work to it but I don't mind ridding it anywhere. older bikes can still be good bikes.

Rode this old 1980 Trail 110 today. Ran like a sewing machine. A buddy picked it up on a trip last week in Florida.

a really swell fellow would cut the man a deal can't you see he's in a pinch and NEEDS a 650cc DS to get him out of a jam.........
Heck, I would even go as far as selling him my '07 KLR650 for $3200. And that's a deal!
