Thanks for all the kind words. I told him back in October he should plan on being at the DFR next year. By that time he will need a break.
He owns the KLR that I so conveniently borrow at times.

Funny you say that... he was at work today.
They put the honeymoon off a few weeks, she teaches school and they will go while she is on Christmas break.

After no one was interested in my KLR farkles in the Regional FleaMarket, I posted them in the big FM... First 3 items were requested by two different inmates, both in Canada. Shipping International is expensive!!!
I gave them quotes and have not heard back yet... I almost hope they back out, cause I really don't wanna ship this crap and do international paperwork!!!

I know I said my next bike would be that KTM but I kind of like the looks and sopositly price of this http://powersports.honda.com/2013/cb500x.aspx
3 bikes dont cover my needs. my KTM for dirt, the Old XL is great for Dual Sport, and the FZ is nice for long runs but i want a bike that's more comfy on the road then the Old XL but will do gravel better then the FZ. And i cant afford the nice BMWs or Tigers.. what do y'all think about it?

I actully wouldn't mind your KLR if I could afford it. I was speeking on the honda in maybe the next year or a little longer from now. I got a wedding in May to get behind me first before I can start saveing for a bike. I've tryed to help you sale that bike but no one I know is buying right now.

The NC is marginally better than the FZ1 on gravel but is too heavy and is really just a street bike. Would be nice to try it with some more gravel worthy tires. |

yeah I haveing been up close to a NC700X yet but it looks bigger then what i want to fit inbetween the Old XL and the FZ. I'm actully really confortible on the FZ on gravle, I guess it's bacuse i have to ride it on gravle everytime I ride it. On most gravle roads I'm happy cruseing at 45mph on it even with Stef on the back. But I want something smaller that's still happy on the road and slightly more happy on gravle with good tires. I'm happy with the XL for what it is ment for, days I'm going to do gravle and even some off road, I've ene tryed it out on real single track and it did fine. me getting a new bike is a ways off, got to many other things i HAVE to spend money on right now before I get a nice new toy.

If I was going 45 mph on a gravel road on the FZ1, there wasn't much gravel on it. Same goes for the NC.

it's got to get farly deep to make me go slower then 40. But again I ride on it every time I ride and as i've tol others if you can ride on my road you can ride on 90% of them with no problem. dont know what it is about that road but it just has a odd feel to it most of the time.
