No, I wouldn't call that high. I've seen as many as 70+K on a couple that were in running condition. That sprocket should look newer than that though!

The sprocket is shredded because the previous owner never adjusted the balance chain tensioner, so eventually it was loose enough to jump some teeth on the sprocket. That resulted in the counterbalancers being completely out of sync, and the bike was running like a jack hammer and I assume that is when it started destroying the balance chain and drive sprocket.

Yay!!! Lucky Me

Well there's your problem. I was about to ask what would cause such interesting wear.

Anyone sold a bike to a credit union? I'm working on a deal with my KLR but the purchaser's credit union is demanding all kinds of stuff. Like me signing the title over, scanning it and emailling it to them, before I get the money.

If I'm still in possession of the original title and the bike until I get their check, I'm still okay, right?!?!?!

Copy the title, sign, scan, email

Then you've still got your original untouched. Hell, get your daughter to sign the copy, no handwriting match

The back has no reference to the vehicle, just odometer reading... so copied it, signed it, wrote in his name, scanned a blurry copy and sent it. We will see what the CU says tomorrow.
