It was so nice when I bought my Wee with luggage already on it... I've been struggling to make a decision on new luggage for the Tiger, especially now that i have the money form the KLR sale to get some, and still can't decide! So many options, reviews, opinions, etc!

Does not include racks... But they are the most rugged in case of a top over or bump.

The Givi Trekkers were at the top of the list until I saw numerous reports of their mounting system not holding up to still tipovers or any offroad use.

H&P also has the XPLORER series that is their aluminum boxes. But I guess the Gobi are still my favorite... Argh!!!

Way more reasonable and better built than anything you are looking at. With racks and bags I see $810 plus shipping. Good folks to deal with. The black panniers would look great on your bike. Another $149 for tail rack which are nice.

No Aluminum. Too heavy and too much of a leg breaker off road.

The H&B Gobi's have a certain amount of flex and give that makes them much better and much more rugged for offroad, also for not breaking a leg. Their mounting system won't shear off. As seen when a certain Tiger 1050 got too close. (And the HT's are ugly, in my opinion... YMMV)

Any of them will BREAK your leg. First thing to come off if you plan serious off roading is the panniers of any kind. As for the weight you are misinformed, I've had them and they are lighter than my plastic Givi or Yamaha plastic panniers. I have never seen a Happy trail pannier sheer off They are all but bomb proof.

Yes, and above I posted the two or three options at the top of my list that I am trying to decide between, and, as usual, someone comes in with a suggestion from outside those bounds and then gets their feelings hurt when everyone doesn't agree with them... I don't have to scratch my head. I'm used to it...

I did look at some Jesse boxes, as they fit the contour of the exhaust and sit a bit closer than some I've considered.

Edit: Just went back to the Jesse sight... 9" and 10" boxes but the top box is a bit awkward and appears to require a plate over the passenger seat?!?

That's an accessory plate that replaces the seat. It also has a toolbox under it I think. The top box bolts to a separate plate that replaces the factory luggage rack IIRC. I don't know for sure since I've never considered a top box really.

I was actually just messing with you since you didn't say they were ones you were considering, hence the ... In all seriousness I couldn't be happier with mine
