My friend Bostjan rode from Wasilla, AK to Deadhorse, AK yesterday blew out his rear shock on the way up and was riding back to Anchorage today. Talk about tough.

I went to Got Gear with Thunderhart8 today and looked at a scuffed up, bone stock, 2010 KLR650 with 10,000+ miles on it. I asked the salesman how much it was and he said something along the lines of $4,995. I said yeah that's about $1,000 more than its worth. Especially considering there was a brand new 2011 KLR650 with 0 miles for $5,100 sitting just a few feet away.

Yeah, I'm not surprised. And it has fuel in the tank so you know that carb is gonna need some work after sitting for almost 2 years. I really just need to calm down on buying anything anyway. It looks like I'm gonna be going to Anchorage March 22nd to interview for an Anchorage P.D. job.

Cool. I've got a cousin that's a state trooper in AK. I've always wanted to go spend some time up there.

Well, my parents live up there so even if I don't make the move, if you go when I go you'll have a place to stay.
