well I'm not sure but I would go see what is different from the EXC. I think you will find they are really not far apart. i know plinty of people that race a SX in the woods, if I had to guess, I figure the flywheel is heaver in a EXC but with most KTM you could pick up a EXC flywheel and lighting coil and slap it on, if it's like all the ones I have dealt with, the trans should be a closer ratio. you might have to shift a little more then with a EXC. i dought you will notice, a good set of tires, adjust the suspension, if you find it to stiff change a weight lighter in fork oil. the rear should adjust out well.

now my first thing would be suspension adjustment, do so in two click intervals, and keep a pad with you , right down the way you turn the clickers and how many clicks you go each time, this will allow you to return to where you started with out having to remember just how many clicks you turned the clickers.

Just heard some news last night...

Son comes home from daughters place and tells me that her and her room mate want to learn to ride motorcycles. I'm like

I tried to get her to ride years and years ago when you could teach them something, now @ 19, they know it all and don't listen to anything you try to splain to them

I can see her on one of these..note hand control...

not on one of these

it's all in the mind set of the girl. My oldest can ride a bike, can she ride it good, no, she always got upset with me when i would try to explain what she did wrong, so she could learn from it, Now my youngest is about the same age and wants to learn, she is much calmer and will except being told it went dead because you didn't slip the clutch enough or give it gas with out crying.

and with that said i just got the tag for the NX125 and a title will come to me soon. so now I can go ahead and fix it and get Stef on it.

i wish you luck

I thought of your daughter on the NX when I posted that. Was wondering how that was going.

We havent had time to get out and let her work on learning how to use the clutch on my quad. But her dirveing test is comeing up soon so she has to get out there so we can just load the bike in the truck and let her do them both at the same time.

I want to publicly post an apology to Harley Riders... I was leaving the Apple store at lunch and saw 2 or 3 nice Harley touring bikes parked at Sweet Peppers Deli, in the light drizzle... I thought, "Wow, out in the rain!" Then i looked on the opposite side of the street and saw 20 - 25 more Harleys, looked like Florida tags. Not a trailer in site. I bet these guys get mad at the stereotype they get from the "hard core ride 5 miles to the bar and rev the motor up a few times" crowd... Thumbs up to these guys for doing real distance in adverse conditions.
