Yea, the only thing that came to mind is Cheaha in Al because it's higher elevation will give you some cooler temps than you'll get around here. It's not close though.

Cheaha is a good ride. Leave on a Fri after work, camp, ride the great dirt (even some trails to ride in the area and an offroad park) Sat, camp again and come back Sun.

And so the westward trek begins

Westbound and down but doing some northward riding in the process. The suspects getting ready to roll

New Mexico via Arkansas and Oklahoma...

More to come later since this will be a 10 day 5k miler

Either way, have fun!

Buell Blast Convert

I am taking my Buell Blast and converting it to a dual sport. I am gonna put a new exhaust that will get it out from underneath. Dual Sport tires will be going on it as well. I am wondering though, any ideas on what to do to make it stand a little taller to handle my big ass??? This should be fun.

Also wondering whether i need to convert it to chain drive or just leave it as a belt driven??

If you have to change that much, I'd say you bought the wrong bike, but that is just my opinion, so take it for what it's worth... very little!

I already have the bike sitting there not being used. I want to make it into something that I can play with. This is just a project to keep me occupied. I know it would be better to sell this and get something more capable, but why the hell not try to make something out of nothing.

After 10 minutes of looking around google i would say yes you can but it looks that you need to up grade a few bolts. seems some of the ones that have been done are breaking bolts at the motor because it's hard mounted. I've never seen one of these up close but if you want it done and have the time them yes you can. should you. probly not. but hey I'm a guy that wants to turn his 660 Raptor into a reversed trike. i say go for it.
