Well the 600 is better than the other for sure. Is he not liking it, or is he wanting something different?

the problem with 600s is they have that, no power no power no power thing right up to say 5k on the tac. then HOLY HELL they jump. 600s are still close to 100hp give or take. they just make it all up top. a liter bike has more low end power but still comes alive on top. anyone that gets a rocket of any kind for a first bike worries me. except maybe honda's new 250 or 500. both of those are meant to start on the power is much much more flat.

as long as he fears it he is fairly safe. and he can take the test and get his permit and be safe ridding with you and not get a ticket before he gets his endorsement.

I just rode it and its awsome... Was going 90 before I knew it. He's realizing it's too much bike for him but were about to go try to get him on it. I keep trying to trade him but he still kinda wants to keep it. He'll make up his mind after this test ride.

A liter bike can be as gentle and easy to ride as you want as long as you control it. It's not real forgiving if you screw up though. Thank God I was in my forties when I got the FZ1 as my first bike.

It's those slow twins and thumpers that got me.

He seems to be ok with the throttle control... He's taking his permit test right now and after riding it he doesn't want to get rid of it. It's really smooth taking off but can hit 100mph really quick if you want it to. He seems to be doing good i just told him not to get too comfy and think he's got it then try to push it and crash.

Yes, and my wife recently informed me that I had reached my limit for mistresses.

Just got home from my Dan Aykroyd event. I'm a little wired out right now and trying to wind down. I'm a good event coordinator but I wasn't ready for this. We estimate 1,200 people came in today from 10:45-2:30 to see Dan. It went well and I'm very thankful for all the support that the people in Mississippi showed Dan. Thanks to Carabnsol for coming out and being patient with us.
