What is this "Bad Ass Coffee?" I already drink "Kicking Horse Kickass Dark Roast" since it's easy to order through Amazon. Tell me what I'm missing!

I may be up for it. It's a little too far out to say for certain though.

What he said. Right now it's hard for me to plan anything very far ahead. Hopefully my life will get back to some form of order by April!

Coffee

On the coffee subject.. I love coffee.. if your coffee is tasting more bitter without any changes major changes it sounds like your coffee makers heating element is going out and heating to hot. Vinegar may help to clean the machine. If the coffee cup is made of a cheep plastic you could be tasting the chemicals mixing with the coffee. The other two elements could be the coffee it self may have just been a bad batch, ground up wrong or the water. Tap water affects flavor. Purified water from a more pure water source like water bottle, or through a carbon filter (refrigerator filter, britta water filter, Sawyer water purifier) removes chemicals and mineral deposits. Just go look at the clarion ledger about two weeks ago the tap water pipes were filled with crap. Paper filter helps to reduce the bitterness and oils. The more precise you can be before you begin the process the better the coffee.
A good steel burr grinder is good for coffee freshness and fun if you have the kitchen space. I dislike the kueregg, although precise, because of the plastic parts are most likely leaking into the coffee and giving everyone cancer.
Personally in my set up the burr grinder, carbon filter, water pot heater with thermometer, and the magnificent AEROPRESS!! I beats every automatic coffee pot brewer I have ever owned and commercial starbucks, and Dutchbrothers chains.

As far as coffee, I am a huge fan of my Keurig Coffee maker. It tells you how much water to put, the coffee is pre-measured, can't go wrong there. A perfect cup every time. But if another form of coffee maker is being used, I prefer to use Community Coffee New Orleans Blend. Can't go wrong there, full flavored and never bitter.
