990 Adventure Helmet Cam 15 minute video

Hey everyone,

For those that may not have read anything about the Eastern Ontario Adventure Ride (posted in the vendors forum for some reason), we had a great group of riders get together for some fantastic routes over gravel roads, fire roads, snowmobile trails, hydro right of ways and water crossings. The route, organized by Ooobah-Moto was a fantastic ride. Anyway, I shot about two hours of video at the start of the ride, and edited together this short video with my GoPro.

It's a Quicktime movie. Maybe you need a plugin? It is working...

Its good when you can see the bike to get an idea of the track surface.

For those wondering... the camera is in fact a GoPro Hero Wide motorsports camera.

Make sure you buy lots of AAA NiMH rechargeable batteries, and lots of 2gig SD cards! I only had two. Each card is good for 56 minutes of video. As I found on that ride, a couple cards don't last long. I've picked up a few more since then.

Apparently they are working on firmware to up the capacity of the card you are able to use to a 4Gig. Although then the battery life becomes an issue. Shoppers or Best Buy has 2Gig SD cards for about $12 each.
