O-K, that's good for them. That's just one dealer sample, though.

Reading through this particular thread, and getting comments from other buyers & dealers, it has been more of a "it's a standard kit, one-size-fits-all" approach. At least that's how I've interpreted it up until now.

That's what I thought to and why I started the "I'm a fatass, what suspension should I get?" thread.

I wanted the Bitubo kit but didn't think it would work for me because I've become spoiled by good suspension. Now that I've found out you can get heavier springs, I'm ordering it next week.

I'm just going to tell them my weight and see what comes in the box.

I live close enough to Precision Concepts that I can play with spring rates if I need to.

I just thought I'd mention that I recently rode the Trans America from Memphis to Moab and the suspension was great.
I did not touch the preload adjustment on the Bitubos because I didn't need to.
I'm around 185 naked

The rear took a bit of tweaking, but I finally got it dialed in to where there was minimal or no wheel spin (hop) on uphill rocky or washboard, and never bottomed out.

I packed very light also, I had a Giant Loop (Great Basin) bag with a small dry bag for my rain gear. Total weight was < or = 30 pounds or so.

Just over $600 shipped. It hurts, but I was bottoming my forks out waaay too easily.

I just hope I can find a cost-effective solution for the rear shock. Maybe the Hyperpro spring like DP.

Is it a shock or just a spring you put on the stock shock?

The expensive one
The one with remote pre load adjuster. You can use my name if thats the one you want. Just tell them you want the same one. Honestly, it is the best shock I have ever ridden. Makes my buddies 950SE feel like a bucket of bolts !

I thought about it. So I looked it up. And saw how expensive it is..

I guess compared to other similar shocks it isn't that expensive but still . . .

I'm going to try re-springing the stock shock for my weight and see how that goes.
