Not sure - but - my buddy and I ride to the mts from Mt. Airy to Asheville all the time (at least every third weekend) and down to SW NC on trips 3 days or longer - FYI we're in Raleigh.

i live and ride in the waynesville area. i know of a couple other adventure riders in the area too.

i've not been able to make it yet but i hear the maggie valley dual sport ride is a good way to meet people in the area to ride with..............they have a ride in the spring and another in the fall.

I currently live in Georgia, but I own a bunch of land where I'm building a house near Mars Hill, NC.

I'm in Upstate SC, less than an hour away. All of my riding is usually in WNC or NE GA. It's a great area to live or live close by.

Question Adv riders in wnc

I live in no virginia but have a cabin and 35 acres in little laurel up above hot springs near the tn state line was raised over the line in greeneville tn.
I am also one of the organizers of the dgIII rally we had first weekend in june in hot springs. How many of you came to that lil shindig?and more importantly who would like to do that again in late may next year?

Rick, I would love to do the Hot Springs gathering again! That's a great spot.
And perhaps by then, I'll at least have my studio built up on my property near Wolf Laurel. Your cabin can't be far from my land. Know where Little Creek Cafe is? My place is about 5 minutes from there off of Roaring Fork Rd. (which is off of Big Laurel Rd).

This time, maybe some of the 650 riders will come up and play on all of my logging trails.

Yeah, RAW's got killer land. At the base of his "driveway", I made an executive decision to NOT attempt any part of his land with Mutley. So, I hopped on the back of Bart's KLR. Best decision I made, all day. RAW and Bart both ditched it...me 'n' Mutley would have just bottomed out and been stuck on one of the water ruts. It was a fun ride to the top, though, and I'd love to get up there with a real dual sport and explore the logging trails.

I'm in northern Gaston County, about 30 miles west of Charlotte, and most of my riding is day-rides in the NC mountains. We can hook up.
