Inner Melbourne Motorcycle dealer locations

Please dont judge me but the wife has organised tickets to P!nk in Melbourne for the weekend afternext and to butch me up again I would like to know where the top motorcycle dealers are in Melbourne for a visit. I was thinking mainly Euro brands but I am not to fussed. We are staying in Melbourne city and will be on foot/public transport as we are flying down so innercity dealers would be the go.

The scooter comment was uncalled for.

Zagame Ducati and KTM in Richmond, Church St. Just get the number 70 Swan St tram from flinders st, get off at the corner of Swan and Church and walk down 500m from the corner (to the right as you get off). Only 5 mins from the CBD.

The Elizabeth St shops aren't great, especially if you want Euro brands. Ok if you like Japanese roadies or Hardly Davidsons.

Agreed, the 'Liz St shops are good at selling bikes to folk who know nothing about bikes and want to pose, but ask them a technical question or try to get a spare part and they are less useful.

There's another cluster of dealers in a suburb called Ringwood about 10+ kms from CBD (not sure about public transport to get there) but I don't recall there being a Euro dealer there.

I've yet to find a decent bike shop in Melbourne, only lived here 18 months though, so if any locals can suggest one I'm all ears.

Big Chris, what part of Melbourne do you hide in and what machine do you ride? I'm sure somebody here could point you toward a dealer who could look after you.

There's a train from Flinders street to Ringwood. The bike shops are a 5 minute walk. Zone 2... it will cost you about $8-10 dollars for a day pass, but it's a 35-45 minute train ride. Peter Stevens have a branch in Ringwood, (Suzuki, Yamaha, Triumph and Harley) and they've recently taken over the 1300 Kawasaki shop.

But there is also a Honda/Ducati shop and A1 have Benelli, Aprilia and a few oddbods I think Dues, Guzzi, Husqvarna, sachs and I thought Moto-morini, but they're website doesn't mention them.

Elizabeth Street is a pretty good bet though. There's a yamaha dealer, and Peter Stephens Have Suzuki, Honda, Kawasaki, around the corner in Abecket street they have Harley and Triumph. Further up Elizabeth street is the new Ducati showroom.

Thanks

Hi there, back from Melbourne. Thanks for the tips. Went to Southbank BMW and Zagame KTM & Ducati. Walked past Peter Stevens but never went in. Great city, we will be back!
