We ended up sticking around the Emerson Area....with a tour guide, Maraisrider..... saw the site of Fort Dufferin, the KOA camp ground that never opened, the home of the Duty Free Shop owner ($$$$$) and got to ride in the FRICKEN WIND!!!!!

The main roads have a lot of fresh gravel and the side roads were pretty muddy in places. Stubblejumper, Calan818 and Bobmunz deceided to test out the "Red River MUD" on one trail..... from all accounts there was some fancy technical riding..... Stubblejumper did a second gear shift into the ruebarb with what was later described "some pretty good handling". There he was "gone"....full recovery with no fumble.

It was nice to be riding.....

Hope to see more Manitoba Riders join in.

Could do the 16th, Sundays are usually the best for me. Wouldn't mind trying out the motocross track assuming they are table tops and not doubles.

Duck Mtns

Weather permiting, this monday and tuesday, 10th and 11th, I'm heading from Portage through riding Mtn and up to Duck Mts for an overnight, as I want to try out some new camping equipment and my new pelican 1550's and see how this pack ing business works out.
Last night I met "Mailman" from Quebec heading west and then down to south america, wow what a trip. We traded bikes KLR and v strom, for a trip to my house then showed him a back woods camping spot, looking forward to seeing his trip reports.

Hey Champ, would like to have joined you on your run to the mountains, however just made plans for a camping trip to Turtle Mountain with the family.
Post a ride report as I am still planning on making that trip this year.

The Name

A name may be good and most of us are from Manitoba but all don`t live in Winnipeg. So Winnipeg to me shouldn`t be in the name. Something we all like to ride on. Maybe the " Twin Hiller Riders" Refers to something we may do after hours with the woman. You know what I mean. Or the " Valley Riders Club" There is a theme here

Ridin'

I'm thinkin' I may go check out a two track trail that starts at about Mars Hill, then it's suppose to run up to Travers Bay.I've done a shorter part from road #82 north to Mars Hill, but would like to see the rest. Some highway, sand, mud and gravel. I hope to leave Selkirk around 1:00ish and be back for around 4/5pm. 60% chance of rain. If intrested,P.M. or post.
