Day Ride

I would be up for a day ride next week but an over-nighter probably won't get head office approval. Just out of curiousity, I am running Metzeler Tourance tires ... am I going to need something with a bit more offroad capability to go with you guys?

Some of the rides will provide you with much entertainment and for others as well.

If you are OK with gravel roads, you should have no problem on most runs...I would ask about the nature of the ride you are planning on joining, because some runs have been known to require water crossings, sand and mud.

Duck Mtn success

I had a great trip Mon-tue to Child's lake in Duck Mtns. Camping was great wish I could have stayed a few more days and/or took a couple days going a longer way home. Pelican bags worked great and I figured out how to use a large diameter bundgee cord to pinch the throttle and have some "cruise" capability. I think the bike is starting to use oil though.
Will post pics when I have time to figure out how to do it.

Take any pics? I've been wanting to get up there for years...never been there.

Good on you for taking a couple of days to yourself and heading out to the great outdoors! I have often thought that would be a great thing for all men to do now and again...take a couple of days and head out to the bush alone. I have threatened to do this myself, but just have never taken the time. So Champ, aside from the pics, make sure you put on your thoughts about camping on your own, along with any spiritual awakenings you might have had while camping with the bears on your own!

No worries about riding with Metzeler's RabidRover. Most of where I enjoy going is usually gravel or dirt roads. The trail riding like the Roseisle railway is very doable with non knobby tires, unless it is muddy...and when it's muddy, I don't enjoy it much, even with Knobbies.

I put out the dates of 22/23 not necessarily for an overnighter, but just to establish a weekend. It would appear that an overnighter is not an easy thing to do for most of us.

I am leaning towards the second day, Sunday the 23rd.

So who can make it??

Could make it on Sat. but Sun after C & A beer gardens on Sat Night won`t work for me. Good chance I will ride on Sunday just to get away from the crowds in town. It would be hard to hook up anyway when you are out riding

Day Ride

I'm definitely going riding somewhere on Sunday 23rd. I think it would be a great day for the Carberry hills tour. On-Off do you want a lift?

Have to blow my horn a little bit...

Hey riding buddies...I have to ask you to go out and buy the latest issue of Motorcycle Mojo, a great Canadian motorcycle magazine. I sent them an article I had written a few months back, and it they just published it in the Aug/Sept issue! See me and Deborah's pictures on page 68!

Motorcycle Mojo

Hey Humvee, the magazine is available at Chapters, McNally Robinsons, those are the only places I generally go to for my books and mags...but it is at those places!

Well Done

818 I just downloaded the Motorcycle Mojo mag,and read your piece.Good stuff! Many riders don't have partners who ride and finding time to get out is often a rareity. Luckily,I don't have that concern but I have skipped out of a couple of "gatherings"....because.....I....was....ill...{nudge nudge}.
