Sunday

I will shoot for Sunday ... I am on a role right now with my wife ... if the F1 comes to Montreal next year she is letting me go. Might as well push a bit farther

Looks like StubbleJumper and myself should be able to make it for Austin at 9:30, have some coffee and a bite and hit the road. Tell us Worm, what kind of riding is this day going to entail?

Is there still a Carberry ride in the plan for the 23rd. I am keeping it in mind but not sure if i can make it. Getting some work done on the house and don't know if it will be done by Sunday.
Might need to relax by then?

Carberry ride

The area has just about everything from windy gravel roads, Hydro line utility roads, 2 track, single trail, wide open spaces and for those adventurous folk a fairly nasty motocross track. The Firdale track which you can find on U Tube.
The area is between Sydney and Neepawa lots of hills and trails. Bring water and snacks just in case we don't make it to Neepawa for lunch. The off road riding is fairly easy any bike and tire combination should work. There is the occasional sand wash on the trails. I think I have tipped over in most of them and they are all soft. That's the good part about sand it's tricky but soft. There is always an easy way to get to most places. I look forward to meeting everyone Sunday AM. Suppose to be great weather which will be a nice change.
Gravity my least favourite natural force.

Meeting Place

What time and where is the general meeting place? I am originally from MacGregor so I know the terrain you are talking about ... should be a good ride. I am trying to get approval (insert whipping noise).

The meeting place is the Co-OP gas station restaurant on #1 Hwy. just west of Austin at 0930 for coffee leave at 10:00. For those that need extra time for the flogging, we understand.

Some people pay BIG money to be flogged, others have floggings daily, that's called "work"!

You guys will enjoy the day riding. There is some really nice places to weave/wonder in and out of.

Worm,See you Sunday AM as planned{have your new address}. I should be coasting in at 7:30 ish. Is that good time?

Sunday run

Calan818, Stubblejumper,
What time will you leave Carman. If I'm not harvesting I'll try to make it Sunday. That's a great area to explore (except for sand!)

I guess I will be joining you guys, I was considering not coming because I only get one day a week off and sleeping in is nice, but then I kicked myself and remembered we don't get riding weather year round, there is plenty of time to sleep in the winter.

We are planning on leaving my place at 8am. Stubblejumper is riding up to Graysville for just before 8 and we are heading out to Austin from there. If you are able to join us, do it!

Our house is on the lane going east just across from the Hydro substation as you come into town, you can't miss it. Be there just before 8 if you can make it!
