Jordi

...If any of you spy a 1200GS with European license plates headed west....to Fairbanks Alaska, and then to Patagonia South America........look after him.

Jordi is a good guy with limited English ...he is not on ADV (language) but he is aware of this site.

He speaks Spanish.

Tried to learn about Canada by watching the Discovery Channel...even though he didn't understand the language.
He wants to see more of the Country (natural wonders) vs Cities.
He will be leaving Thunder Bay today or tomorrow.

Please pass this message on to the west and north.

Hmmm Alaska in late August, he should be able to see a good cross section of the North American climate especially in the high country.

Will watch out for him as we head west to Vancouver and beyond tomorrow.

There are lots of things you can do to a klr (or any) seat to help.
Beadseat...only way to go after trying everything else. Cut the end off a car bead seat and stuff it in Canadian Tire Foam seat cover with the foam removed. Amazing.

Greg, I started the morning with the best of intentions. It was pouring here. Where do I send a cheque?

Dr. Cool ride

Nice to see everyone out to ride for good cause.
I really enjoyed the ride (other than the big wind), a little bit of gravel added some color to the trip.
Big thanks to Greg for hosting the BBQ after.
Here is the link to today's trip from my GPS track file: http://www.everytrail.com/view_trip.php?trip_id=1739022, total 135 miles in 5 hours.

Dr Cool rides with me

and a whole bunch of other inmates from this forum...

Greg, thank you so much for pulling this together...You rock...Janis - you do too...I am sure your support was a key ingredient to how well this went off...

Jim...I am so glad you helped with the planning as well...

Isplat2 - Thank you for sending the can of organic holy water with which to celebrate Dr. Cool's life...It was shared out with all who came to ride...and I was happy to splash some on my sheep skin while all the others knocked theirs back in a toast.

MotoAxe - I am not sure which regional forum you hail from, but I will thank you here, and on the Dr. Cool page - the stickers you sent to Backroader are bang-on, and I am proud to have his smiling countenance keeping an eye on the tail-gaters in this town...

PiffleMaster, sorry you missed the ride, but glad you got to go on a spirited ride up to Lytton with Grant...Backroader drank your share of the organic holy water, and you to are now blessed along with the rest of us...By the way, I really wish I had video of JimToes impression of you - it was too funny...You were definitely with us in spirit...I have a Dr. Cool Rides With Me sticker for you as well...

Debra, Karen, Nancy - so good to see some women out today...and I am looking forward to Karen and I heading out to meet-up with Nancy for an "estrogen ride"...Other KAren, Siren 98, if you are reading this, check out your calendar for Saturday Sept 22...it would be a good time for you to come out and play..

Everyone else...Damn, it was fun to get out and about with you all...Let's do it again soon...with more gravel...LOL...

Dr Cool Ride

Hi everyone, it was great to finally get out on a ride with you all and put faces to the names. No more lurking behind calan818!!

Thanks so much Greg & Janis for hosting the ride, it was memorable and am sure Dr Cool would be smiling down.

Ladies, looking forward to riding together in September!

Right on...and if I am not mistaken, we all three use Sena headsets...Siren 98, I hope you will join us, so you can test your Sena too...Check that calendar...also, circle the 29th, just in case the 22nd is a wash-out...I don't mind riding in rain if I am on a trip, but if i am hoping to see autumn colors, I hope we will ride on a sunny day...
