I've done that route a few times. No worries for fuel.
On the US portion, have you considered swinging up towards the Soo rather than down to Chicago?
Then you can run the south side of Superior. Better scenery in my opinion.

You can also cut across lake Michigan on the Badger Ferry, nice ride and saves having to go thru Chicago and around the bottom of the lake. http://ssbadger.com/home.aspx

Also, take the ferry across the St Lawrence at Riviere-du-loup to Saint Simeon and then you just have to head up hwy 170 to roberval instead of back tracking to Quebec City again. http://www.quebecmaritime.ca/en/comp...transportation

Looks like a nice trip...enjoy! Watch the 401, crazy cages on there!

anyone have an a favorite motorcycle jacket that they use everyday but it's less than waterproof?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...&v=IfUaKXasdD4

this stuff is insane, I'm unsure if it will change the color of material, it looks like it turns the boot at the end white, but still an awesome product!

Someone else I know posted this vid on Facebook yesterday. Simply amazing! Damn straight I'd get a jacket and gloves treated if it wasn't too pricey.

I can't find anywhere that sells an adhesion promoter for my plastics in this damn city

Rondex - they carry everything body shops use. I bought some flexible bondo there to repair my daughters scooter she'd dropped. I'd be very surprised if they don't have adhesion promoter.
