Anybody else experiencing anything weird with the ADV website? the template is totally different. It's creeping me out.

Alberta will always stay cheap, because they use big American companies that can spread out income/liability across all of North America. The only reason why other provinces like BC & Ont. have high prices with private insurance is because there are still laws on how those companies must operate (ie: not combining funds with their American branches).
The only way private insurance goes up is when there is some sort of government control. If insurance companies in AB artificially inflate prices, nothing is stopping a different American company from coming up and offering prices like in the US and getting all the customers. thats the lovely part about free markets, it keeps the prices low, unlike what the NDP would have you believe.

Just go down to the bottom and change it back. They did an upgrade...I've never changed from the CRash format. Most of you are probably used to ADVRider2.0

I hope you're right. My faith that gov't has our best interests at heart is (seriously) waning.

Rubbermaid Action Packer on sale Cdn Tire...

...in this weeks Cdn Tire flyer for $21. Pics of what it looks like on the back rack of a KLR in this thread: http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=267485

Cheap storage for sure... if you can get past the appearance.

Rubber boots are the only " real " waterproof boots. Try to find the ones with the smooth inside vs the canvas inside. Someday even these will get wet, and the canvas inner takes longer to dry out. Other helpful hints will be posted as time permits.

I bet it made you miss the Peg...at least a little bit

Minus 3c today and sunny...really nice day by TBay standards! Big storm moving up mid-states poised to hit Chicago and across the lower Great lakes. What's up with all the snow falling in Southern Ontario lately? We've been missed by a lot of storms this year....weird. Oh well, spring is just around the corner

Question

Books...

Some of you know how to read, and I've got some housecleaning to do. All non-fiction, some hard cover, some soft. Look up the titles on google or Amazon if you want to know what it's about.

Moto/auto-related:
Motorcycle Therapy
Two Wheels Through Terror
Road Fever

Military:
Marine Sniper
Kill Bin Laden
In the Company of Heroes
Steel my Soldier's Hearts
Delta Force
Bravo Two Zero
Black Hawk Down
The real Bravo Two Zero
We Die Alone

Outdoor/Travel/Survival:
A Short History of Nearly Everything
Hold the Enlightenment
Bear Attacks
The Last Season
Into the Wild
How to sh1t in the woods
Call of the Wild
Lost in my own Backyard
Between a rock and a hard place
Jaguars ripped my flesh
A Wolverine

The ultimate A to Z bar guide (drink recipes)

All free, but I want them out of the house sooner than later - claim them fast or the Library gets them

Claim first three Moto related and a short history of nearly everything. Will take what others don't claim. Send me pickup details and will be over anytime you think is good for you.
