... if I can just get myself retired! Still waiting on our (oh so slow) bureaucracy. Planning another trip to the Rockies to do the AB foothills forestry trunk road (FTR), and, maybe a trip down east (to keep the wife happy) to Algonquin Park.

That big backrest looks comfy in the chair.

but Ilsa the she-wolf (Mrs GWN) prefers this ride:

Weight!

On a sidecar rig the last thing needed really is more weight on the LH side... which is why I splurged for aluminum. Intent is not to put anything too heavy in that pannier - actually plan is to use that as the cooking station. I made a shelf to fit in the open lid to aid in food prep. Doing it this way I don't need a table at the "campspot". (loaded heavy) Steel ammo boxes are on the sidecar (Princess Auto specials) - a little extra weight on that side helps keep that light sidecar planted on right hand corners. Until you've driven a sidecar rig yourself, you can't imagine the pucker factor zipping into RH turns a bit too quickly! Am NOT into "flying the car".

Thnx! She wasn't too keen on it at first, but came around to it. Gotta give her lots of credit - feels pretty quick sitting in that little capsule whizzing along inches off the ground. Has a bit of a jet fighter cockpit feel to it!

I think that's the # 1 issue people have with riding in a sidecar - you feel more exposed and vulnerable as compared to in a car, or even sitting behind the rider on a mc. Gotta be (very) trusting that the rider/driver won't forget there's that new extension hanging off the side!
