Powder coated tank, eh... nice! What colour? Gotta share a pic when you get it back.

That sucks Carl. Maybe you can make the VBR in August?
Looks like I'll be able to make that one.
September we are taking the rig and bikes to the west coast for most of the month.

I was gonna go black but I decided on bright in-your-face red because I find black just gets too hot. That was a big deciding factor.

It's fancy, I know, but I found a guy who will do it for 40$!! I will for sure be sharing pics. I love showing off my baby

Oh don't get me wrong. I'm not saying that 2 strokes have no advantages, but I'm just glad technology's moved past them. I learned to ride a motorcycle on an RD400.. That bike was a wheelie puller...

I was happy to offload my KX250 2 stroke however

Well, this sucks. Spent time yesterday topping up batteries and getting tools together with the intent to start the bikes this weekend. Not much point to it when there's a skating rink every morning for ten blocks in each direction.

The Weather Network's 14-day forecast has been a big tease for the last three weeks - it keeps saying it's supposed to get up to +5 but it never seems to get closer than ten days away...

Right on Carl. This will make for a good group ride of Tobins.

I don't know when you are all coming through as a group, but will have some indoor accomodations, and can offer tent space for quite a few people as well. Also, secure parking, and a garage full of tools.

Backroader, Pifflemaster, and Jimtoe know how to get here, it's only about 500 meters off HWY 17.

Finally looking like spring is arriving here today. Got out in the garage and started getting it ship shape (installed new beer fridge).

Also dug the KLR out of the back shed. Had to bring it in the garage and warm it up a couple of degrees as it was -3 this morning but once warmed, it fired right up with no extra battery charge.

Took it out for a ride. Put on 30k around town. Roads are mainly snow free but lots of loose sand to watch for. Did about 10k on the highway. Still a bit cool out there for high speed rides but if a person geared right with heated gear, it would be ride-able.

Come to think of it I actually spent longer days riding in colder conditions last summer on our Alaska ride so riding season is officially back! Yahoo!!

Went out for a walk with wife today. South wind still feels pretty icy.

A couple cruiser riders went by in town - full snowmobile garb but no full face helmets (?).
