D251man - welcome!

D251man - welcome aboard!

Mark96 and myself were out putting around on the KLR rig this afternoon. Never thought to check the temp before departing this morning - was -8! That's officially for myself the coldest I've been out riding mc.

Regarding hard starting, today (around 10:30ish) my battery didn't have much juice to get going... had to put the 6A charger on to boost it to get it going! I guess cold soaking to -19 overnight is a little much for the KLR They start sooo much easier when it's just a little warmer.

So if I have gas in my oil and air filter that probably means I flooded the hell out of it, right

Re KLR650 safety switch bypass mods

[QUOTE=KamikazeKLR;21143871]The thing is I'm not sure how to bypass the side stand safety switch. Electrical is definitely my weakest point. I have no concept of why things do and do not work. to me, if the battery is hooked up everything should work[/QUOTE

I think it's more than that. Fellow ADVers, my bike is not rideable an I do not have the tools to see what's going on. If there's anybody with spare time on their hands or possibly a truck then please give me a call 204-803-3185

Anybody got a truck or van to help Mel?

Anybody got a truck or van to help Mel?

I'd help load the bike if someone can drive out there to meet her. She's stuck at Wholesale Sports St James & St Mathews Ave.

Might be the float is stuck open causing the major flooding into the crankcase and filter.

And my residence is on st. Matthews as well. Not a long drive. A case of beer to the man who rescues this damsel in distress!

That might be a good explanation, so I'm gonna check that first thing when I am able

How far? Like, if you had another person or two to help you could push it home before midnight?
