Man, I hate that - the helmet thing is definitely a double-edged sword.

That's a gorgeous bike you've got!

Versys has slightly better handling but gives up comfort to the Strom. Very similar bikes though. She will love it.

Dave you will end up wanting it. I see some bike envy coming to your relationship.

There is going to be a couple of strommer girls this summer. We put a deposit on a grey Vstrom Expedition for Deborah earlier this week from Suzuki. Deborah is Pumped!

Not a vStrom, but Whyswoman is also getting a new bike.
She's been making plans to order in an NC700X DCT ABS for next year.

Just read the link about that bike. Sure sounds nice. I think she will love it.

Looked at one in AZ Brian. Looks like a quality machine. Very nice fit and finish. Probably bullet proof. THere's always that pesky price increase in Canada you get with Honda products. She's wise. She'll love it.

Envious! Nice choice IMO. Can't for the life of me understand why Honda isn't bringing in their super scooter based on that platform: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KQx3zNxmz8c

Karl & Deb - nice looking bike that Suzuki. I can't be hanging around you guys with Angelika along... she's getting ideas about getting her license - I need her weight in that sidecar

Do they make a "wooly" version?

I am sooooooooooooooooooo jealous of those two former Burgie B's...but I will get over it...only one more year til I can get a new bike myself, and in the meantime, I have been investing in my riding gear first - a matter of more urgent necessity for me, due to my ever-decreasing girth. Last year's jacket was down around my knees, along with the riding pants I was wearing last fall.

I will NOT be getting a V-strom next year - I will be going with the Honda NC700x DCT ABS ... I am sure that will give me a little more flexibility in terms of where I can ride in the future, while still not having to worry about shifting. My Wooly Mammoth Burgie is fine on gravel, but there is no opportunity to stand on the footpegs in the event of encountering gnarlier stuff...and she is named "Wooly Mammoth" for a reasn - there is a certain lumbering quality to moving her around in tight spaces, that is for sure.

Anyway, congratulations to Karen and Deb...Carl, I guess you won't have to give up the Super Ten for our "Estrogen Ride and Camp Out" in June after all...

Perhaps that played a subliminal part in making the decision, now she can ride her own bike anywhere she wants to go!

BTW Lee, excellent choice with the Honda 700, I was intrigued by that bike too! Deborah has always regretted selling her old Vstrom (I should say, regretted that I sold it) so she wanted a bike familiar and comfortable to her. The girls on ADV are a formidable bunch! Can't wait for summer!

The temp here in Kenora is going to soar to FIVE DEGREES today. That calls for vented gear! The DR is coming out of hibernation. I feel a Tim's in my future. And a visit to Rushing River. Must remember to take camera.
