Was nice to get riding again.
Way to go guys! Please provide us with a ride report on the new Vstrom.

So far it seems to be a very nice bike. Smooth engine with lots of power. A bit more of a reach to the bars so will be ordering risers soon.
I led Karen onto a few kms of gravel on her first ride and she reported feeling much more confident than on the Burgie. Even with the low seat and lowering links in it's still not as low as she'd like but I think she'll get used to it and it won't be an issue.
Two thumbs up for the Vstrom.

I am glad to hear Karen will have a little more versatility in terms of where she can ride, and am only sorry she cannot join us for NoFAR 2013...Maybe next year...Give Karen my congratulations on her new baby...has she named it yet?

No name for her strom yet. She said she needs to ride it more to figure out it's temperament. Then she can pick a name.

Next week is supposed to get into double digits. Just in time for our trip!

Also... CHRIS IS BACK

We'll have to have all of you over for a bbq/ mini tech day before we leave.
Hypothetically.. If I were to do it this friday, how many of you would be available?

I'd likely pop by - would be great to see folks again. Timing wise, are you talking afternoon to over supper?

Oops, sorry shoulda mentionned that. I'm thinking first thing after work so people who work friday can attend. I work until 5pm then home by 5:20. Start the bbq then start hosting. That's my plan.

I've not washed the bimmer yet, so I'll brave your back lane again

I don't expect my social calendar to be all that busy this week otherwise

Good! more the merrier!
You know what I'll do? I'll break the ice in the back lane to make it easier. there are only a couple spots that may be worrisome so I'll fix that.

I'd likely be in...can't speak for Piffle though, as he is out at St. Andrews working on 'puters today...I am sure he will chime in at some point though...

Ok, now I've got enough interest to post the official invitation

Everyone!

You are all cordially invited to the OFFICIAL first tech day of the 2013 riding season! (yay!)

If you plan on showing up, please let me know so I know how much food to get.

PM for cell# and/or address

When: Friday, April 26th @ 5:30
What: Mini tech day/bbq
Where: My residence (Back lane, garage will be open and full of bikes)
Who: Bring yourselves, your partner and grab a buddy who owns a bike. The more the merrier.

Note: Garage can't fit every bike that shows up so if you're just coming to hang out and not working on your bike, park in front.
