Took the DR out for about 100 km this morning.
Ended up at Rushing River. Beautiful park, only open once the bugs come out. Can't show up here. Campsites are always full. Best part of the year the park is closed. Would be great to camp here in May and October once the crowds are gone....but it's always closed.

Thumb

Got about a 100km in on both the FJR and the same for the CRFL. Today was a maintenance day. Oil changed in both bikes, some nesc. season loobing on the FJR (shift pivot and brake pivot) as well as some other stuff that seemed to eat up more time that I hoped.

Washed the bikes (first time for the FJR since last August and the first time ever for the CRFL!). So they were all purdy I just had to ride them. Tried out my new Klim Dakars and A* Scouts. I'm gonna fit in some CE armor in the Dakars and put them into my regular rotation for road gear. Nice pants that vent like crazy! Me like.

Tomorrow I'm gonna take the girl out for her first ride ever which outta be interesting. Her girls want to go for a scoot too (10 and 12). Sounds like a fun day!

Only one thing left to say...

Bah, and humbug, etc.

Today was seasonal switchover and maintenance day for the car. Nearly done. New brake pads, fluid, front sway bar links, swap out snows for summers.

Did see the neighbour take off for the first time (slowly, carefully) on his brand new Ducati Hypermotard.

Nice day for a ride

Karen and I got out for a nice ride today. She now has 185km more on her new Vstrom which she has dubbed "Blueberry".

Here she is where we stopped at Lockport for a photo op.

Karen likes it so far. She's coming from a 650 Burgman so is still getting used to a manual clutch. She's doing great though.
I've ridden it a bit and it seems nice.

Wee strom

Hey Karen, hope you're enjoying the new bike. I got out today on my new/old Wee for a bit of a ride. Liking it, but that Akripovic system is a bit too loud for me.

I made it to Home Depot on the Harley. That was enough for one day .... Not!

Got the RZ running, not perfect, but effective... Forgot what it was like, been 30 years since I rode one. ( needs the carbs synced and idle adjusted )
Pretty quick, for an old bike!!!

Glad to hear a great deal of you were able to get out.. A perfect day to enjoy the spring air.

Tech Day

Spring has sprung! Any pictures of the Tech day? All the bikes people have been posting look awesome! Time to get a sticker for a WPG ADV group.

Yesterday I rode my Star thru Birds Hill and considered going to Rod o Rama, the head wind was more than I was up for.

Today is a XT ditch banging day with my buddies from the Hill.
Note to self "wheres my shoulder pads"?

I headed out that way a bit but was too late to meet up. Did the little oak bluff/sanford loop.
