I may be up for that. Hell I haven't even gone for a bike ride yet this year. Only fitting my first ride be to protest "Autoplick".

Trying to be politically correct even though I CANNOT STAND THE THIEVING BASTARDS.

That was on the Harley. The Versys is a Toban bike. Two more years insurance and I have paid MPI what I paid for the bike. Forty years and not one claim but I get to pay a quarter the value of the bike each year.

Sorry to resurrect that insurance dead horse again. MPI, NDP Manitobans new swear words. Ok I will stop now.

I was getting the same screwing on my car and truck insurance here in Ontario. Now I just insure for liability......and I will never buy a "new" vehicle!
However, I pay 450$ a year for both bikes. Full coverage on the Bandit, and liability on the DR. The Bandit with full coverage is an extra 35$. I also have this rider that covers me for the deductible on rental or borrowed bikes up to 10K, for 9$ a year.
What MPI does to you guys is almost unconstitutional! Jim, your Vresys is worth what? 6-7K? You pay 2K a year for insurance?

Kind of figured they'd do that. Ellis is a little quiet, and Ikea seems to be the "in" place to shop....if you like "college" furniture. Figure they'll have the big fish tanks and stuffed heads everywhere?
Have to bring my son into town on the 18th for a wedding.....I'll be checking out Cabela's and a bike shop or two if any are open after 12:00 noon.

VELCRO!!!
This is the second day I put this OLD jacket back on and it sucks.
Great jacket in most regards, but...
Every time I put my head down or look left or right, I'm stuck.
I can't get my head up..., left, or right..., again.
Shoulder check? Forget it...
Whoever designed this jacket didn't have a beard.

For sale, nice XL jacket, unless you have a beard...

Edit: Hair, red, strands, included with jacket.
Thanks for the morning laugh! Getting this mental image of the mighty Piffle, head cocked to the side, all tangled up in his own velcro Hell, expanding the vocabulary of unfortunate bystanders.

I wasn't 5 minutes on to Portage after tech day and I had to lean on the horn to keep a right turning car from pulling out in front of me. Lucky there was also room to swerve. Honestly.....

I'm doing the rally Saturday. I volunteered to sit at one of the dealers (maybe Wildwood) doing the card draws. I don't get much involved with CMMG in other aspects so figured I ought to volunteer to work at least 1 event. I've not heard back yet, however, so who knows if they need me or not..

On Saturday I only rode out to Dugald and back (for the gun show), and stopped in at Wildwood to moan about the missing screws for my tailpack. didn't ride sunday (range day with dad. wanted to test the pretty lil' Mosen Nagant carbine I bought Saturday ).

With only 900k on the GS and no riding until I'm due at the dealer I think I'll put off the first service until next week and log a few hundred more K this weekend. Put off the big hit until after the 6th (credit card cutoff day)

Anyone doing Ride For Dad this year? I've not signed up yet. I prefer to ride alone or with a few friends, but there is something to be said for being in a huge mofo parade once a year.

Ok I got a good deal on my Versys. But for years insurance is what I paid for bike.

$1400 in blood each year.

I've heard at least a few buy the IKEA ones and cut them down to fit and sew on a couple straps.
