Something is so very, very wrong here with MPI. It roasts my ass that MPI is actually considering subsidizing street maintenance - nothing to do with insurance! Their # 1 focus should be on providing competitive rates in-line with other provinces/providers.

with the money i am saving annually, I could actually buy a new bike every 3-4 years!
I had actually thought of selling my bike and upgrade to something bigger, but I have decided to keep it and give it to the wife to use when i upgrade in a couple years

Yes the three of us had G650 GSes and Sergio our host had his own F700 GS. The bikes were perfect for what we
were doing. they did 120-130 on the freeways, hauled 14 days worth of stuff and really liked the twisties.

Sounds like a great place to ride Mark, it's on the list.

It's been slab and rain for two days since leaving the NoFar. Did get some sun yesterday for about 4 hrs. Back into it again today though.

Sounds like my ride home from NoFar. Only I got a weeks worth of rain in one day and the wind was gusting to 70 k for whole way back to the Peg. I have been in worse rain and in worse wind but never combined with temps of 7 to 10 Celsius most of the way. My "rain proof gear" was no match for that day. Thank god for heated jacket and grips.

Last year from Jasper to Calgary we hit the same type of weather. Heavy rain high winds (had to hide in an animal overpass to dodge a tornado) and temps just over freezing through the ice fields. Gotta say my Klim Latitude gear earned its keep that one day. With the electrics turned on I was warm and bone dry through the whole ride. Cannot say enough about that gear for harsh weather.
