I "may" and that is a big "may" have one at the shop, but wasn't planning on going back out until tomorrow...

EDIT: Ok, just spoke to Trevor and we're going out to look at the shop...

Picked up the new toy at WW. Having an overpriced coffee at Starbucks then taking a slow wander back to Kenora. So far (6 klms) very happy with my new bumble bee.

I had to attach another face to a name and check out the bumblebee! Love your new bike, and great to meet you.

I have a spare 08+ clutch cable but I'm at work today, should be home around 6:30PM.

EDIT: If you need it before then, my wife can grab it out of the "Bin 'O' KLR parts" for you.

Whiteshell trip report (sort of)

Well, today myself John & Charlie (Stubblejumper) rode out to the Whiteshell, thru Elma, Seven Sisters (showed John the dam as he'd not seen it before) and east towards Rennie. Conditions were awesome, the road spectacular as always (my favourite MB ride)... but unfortunately my bike died on me 7 kms north of Rennie! My LCD clock display started flashing and just a few kms further it died... thankfully at a convenient spot where we could pull over and wait. The cabin owner across the way offered assistance, brought a tool pouch, multimeter... and even beer! What a prince! Fuses good, battery showed low (confirmed at home too), so I've got an alternator and/or battery issue - thankfully I have spares for both (let the troubleshooting begin). Big Thanks to John & Charlie for keeping me company while waiting for the tow. It became obvious on his arrival why the delay - he had a car in tow that had been rolled! Pictures to follow (John & Charlie took many). Sure making good use of CAA Plus! Once again the Gold Wing did the flatbed tow of shame home while the Harleys passed me John & Charlie carried on to West Hawk I believe - I hope they had a great ride and are home safe too. Really appreciated their company today.

Edit = pics added.

Great day

...if it didn't end like this:

Stopped at West Hawk for an awesome sandwich in the screened porch. Bike ran like a champ all the way home. Had an eye out for the rest of you, but met a couple of nice pirates along the way.

Here is what I did instead of coming with you to the whiteshell.

Had a great ride from echo Bay to Manitoulin with Greta and Gail, and then got on the ferry to Tobermory...I was met there by Oliver, Michelle, and Lucas , who then escorted me the 140kms to their home near Williamsford ON - where the live in "The Church
Of the Perpetually Giddy" (read "occasionally inebriated ")...

All in all, it was another evening of good company, good food, good conversation, all followed by a night of good sleep...

We are now heading out on a motor tour, kayaks in tow...ready for a day of adventure....
