I think my GL1500 is 880 lbs wet weight (minus sidecar of course)... 'bout the same as the 1800 - I may have had to pick it up a time or three (ahem).

Travel Plans

After the Badger docks in Wisconsin it's worth the trip to cross the river and visit the maritme museum and see the Cobia, an almost fully restored WWII sub. You'll see the museum as the Badger docks.
Take a look for some of Cannontracks for the Penninsula to find some of the less travelled and more interesting roads. It's also a nice trip to take the short ferry ride to Washington Island on the north end for a tour around.
Enjoy your ride.

Thanks - I forgot about the Cannontracks, I'll look some up.

I was in Mantiwoc two weeks ago and visited the museum. Didn't realize the condition of the sub - it is apparently close to operational. The day before I was there was an anniversary of the sub and museum - they had a couple former crew members there, and actually fired up the engines for a bit.

Question Clear lake/Ducks ride

A little while back there was a post about riding to Clear lake and then through the Ducks the next day. It sounded like it was mostly gravel running and through some of the back trails. It was planned for sept 13,14 and 15. Might this still be happening? I am still interested if it is a go. Might be able to round up a couple of other bodies to go as well. We all live south of Brandon so would probably meet up at clear lake area.

Can work with local delivery and pricing.

How would those Givi's work on my 650? Very interested. If you can hold them for me. I could ride to Dryden and bolt them on. As long as the rack works with my bike?
