Owning a new gen KLR wouldn't hurt my feelings but having one of them thar Super T's, now that's a bike. Test rode one at the Yamaha Demo day in Brandon this summer. I'm impressed.

No pics along the way? How'd you find riding across the Mackinaw Bridge? Was out for a spin yesterday afternoon with a friend from Steinbach - he has a GL1200 too... he also did the "poorboy" alternator conversion. Glad to hear the'Wing is still going strong.

I am going to pick up a new Camera, GPS and Blue Tooth, for remote up loading. $300.00 for a rugged model... note the "rugged" model, as it seems I have gone through 3 cameras since I retired.

yak on the back

Took a run up to Winnipeg Beach today, with the little red yak on the back...Launched her from the beach, paddled back and forth along the shoreline for about an hour and a half, rolled back out when I was finished, then packed her up and brought her home...

I am definitely going to enjoy this great little boat - and only wish I had taken it with me on my trip this summer (it takes up about as much room on the bike as the camping gear I took but never used...)

I will likely take it to the rally in TBay in a couple of weeks, just in case anyone wants to try it out...

But no one, absolutely no one, is allowed to take video of me getting out of the damned thing...I am fine getting into it, but I have yet to master getting out...

It was kind of a gray day out there on Lake Winnipeg, but it was a great day for a moto/paddle adventure...it is the first time I have taken the yak out here in southern waters...

Here's an image from Winnipeg kijiji...what's up with the front suspension? Almost looks like the forks are moved WAY up in the tree?

mackinaw was 'interesting' as part of the paved lane was closed for repair.... Had to use the metal grate partway. Glad I had new tires on. Big freighter went under the bridge just as we passed over.

Just think of that boring lake as an extension to the prairies...

I would LOVE to launch you and your Kayak in Pine Bay on Superior...so spooky cool, it hurts! (Yes, I have other interests that may not be motorcycle based)

And yes, I have lived on both Lake Winnipeg, and Superior. There is NO comparison!
