I've got nothing insured yet either. If the weather looked promising I'd make the effort. As is, I can get stuff done around the house. Might be frozen enough to access the bike shed, across the top-dressed-in-the-fall mud bog that is my yard!

Got the '94 Army Barbie mostly back together

... took it outside for another extended runup. Seems a little cold blooded (lean), but once it's fully warmed up it seems OK. That tweety removal muffler mod sure sounds great! Thnx for that again BTW Brian aka Piffle.

Still waiting for different rear turn signals (the stockers don't fit) to come in before I'll attempt to safety it. If I put the footpegs on I could actually take it for a test ride

It pretty much had a complete overhaul... except for the front end (which I may get to). It'll never be this clean again

This '94 was pretty much complete, but I did change out a few parts - the kill switch harness was intermittent. so bought a new one (dealer), put on a new chain and sprockets, Hyde skid plate (all from Avicious), crash bars unknown brand off eBay. The '97 I have, which I also overhauled this winter, is a real Frankenbike with a newer engine ('08 bottom end) and parts obtained all over the place! This is what the Barbie looked like when I bought it:

Put the bikes back in the shed.... it will be another week or so before I ride.
The scooters have been out, though I do not personally recognize them as actually riding a bike..... more like an alternative frugal mode of transportation.

Whyswoman...

Just returned from the hospital following Lee's surgery...
She still doesn't know where she left her keys, and I rather doubt her housework has improved much, if at all.
There's only so much the surgeons can do...

Aside from that, the surgery was a great success.
She'll be home later tomorrow morning and will accept calls then, but not tonight.
Cheers to all, and thank you for your support.
Brian

She's ticked that she can't ride (wear a helmet) for a few weeks, but "soon" is happening.

Nah, serious doubt about that. But I can live with it...
