Anyone up for a short ride to lunch tomorrow?? Maybe the gravel roads off of Snickersville Tpke?? There is a water crossing on Jeb Stuart Rd.

Can't really think of a place for lunch in that area

Lunch choices

Can't join for the ride...
But can suggest lunch,

After you cross at Jeb Stuart,

At the east end of Snickersville Twp on 50,
the vegeterian Bar-B-Q in Aldie
(he is vegan, not the BBQ)

or to the west on 50, Bar-B-Q in Upperville
(next to the gas station)

or north to Purcellville.

Enjoy the day.

I've been to the one in Aldi (with you I believe) and it was great. Was thinking of Purcellville and trying out Boodacades. Puts me on 7 which makes a run down 28 that much easier.

Anyone tried Boodacades in Purcellville??

Unfortunately it's 90 min+ for me just to get to that area, and my total free time is but 3 hours :(

Wish I saw this earlier. I'm on mulch duty. 4 truck loads and 160 bags later not feeling like riding.

Well, the ride didn't work out as planned anyway. Rt15 was closed and I got stuck in traffic in gainesville. Lost a lot of time and couldn't do the whole ride. I did manage to hit Jeb Stuart water crossing. It was up over my crashbars and I got a lot of water in my boots. still passable though, as I didn't drop the pig and I crossed it twice.

Great day to ride. Stopped for BBQ at Aldie store and two other KLRs stopped by. All the other patrons immediately grabbed their wallets.

Evening all...I would be interested in joining up on future rides...particularly those on dirt.

I had a nice first-time-for-me ride on Bull Run Mtn Rd and Logmill Rd last weekend. I know that's nothin' to this crew but I sure had a great time...

Glad to hear you had a good ride; I did too! Went down south for a little working weekend in Orange county; then got to do a little riding around Orange, Madison, Greene, & Albermarle county this morning before coming back up to Woodbridge. Even did a little Grab & Tag of the C'ville tag, and took a little spin around Albermarle with Foxedupone.

Here's a shot I took on the way back this afternoon; coming up Hughes River road near Etlan. That's Old Rag mountain in the background.

You may also want to check out this get-together if you're free 2 weekends from now.

Welcome to the madness!

Off topic request, does anyone with a GS or other boxer have a vacuum manometer that I could borrow to balance the throttle bodies/adjust the idle on my R1100-RTP? Spring maintenance is almost done with the exception of a good wash and that last item. I am located in Centreville, so I'll go wherever to pick up, or come to my house and I'll trade for maintenance help on whatever. Thanks!!

I have/had a twin max buried somewhere in my garage. If I can find it tonight, you are more than welcome to borrow it!

Skip all that stuff and check out Grok's "Harmonizer"

I've got one but I haven't managed to unpack it from moving yet.
