Good night grab, N2! And glad you survived after dark in Highland Park.

I grew up a short distance from that park and rode my bike there many times as a kid. I took tennis lessons there, golf lessons, played T-ball, rode the carousel, etc many times. Loved that place, but as time as progressed, things have changed and I hear from my parents that shootings, fights, disturbances, etc in the park are getting quite common. But that park has some great history...

Wikipedia Page

Link to PDF with history of park from NRoHP application. Tells of what was in the park in the 1920's and 30's, a trolly car line connecting it to downtown, pavilions, swimming pools, carousel, promenade, dance pavilion, and more. it was quite the place back in the day... Even when I was a kid they had a bear or two, alligators, turtles, ducks, geese, and much more.

The trolley line:

It was definitely not a place I wanted to be at once I got there. lol, but that's why I always conceal carry :) plus there were a couple cops in the park. Overall it was ok, wouldn't mind going back during the day some time. If i'm ever back that way.

Got a place picked out for the new tag, will get it there this weekend.

Careful using ur google mapfu on this one it'll take you to the wrong location. This bluebonnet is located on a two digit hwy headed south.

Follow the wooden fence to the corner of the builing and that's where dragon rats hiding. Unless he's out playing with the zebra

Um, That looks like a private residence and I'm not sure I want to risk the wrath of the MS castle law.
