general electrical questions.

So the bike is a CB360. It (like many other CB's) will not charge. I've been told it can be the rectifier. No problem, I'll just order a replacement. If this doesn't solve the problem and I have a voltmeter...what should I be looking for. I know that's a vague question but what are some numbers I should look for and areas I should poke and prod?
Also, can anyone recommend a good dry cell battery for my model? I'm willing to pay the price if it's a nice reliable battery.
As it stands, I have to charge my battery about once a week and I've had it die on me 3 times and had to jump start it all 3 times.
Another off the subject couple question. Does any company make a quarter fairing that fits standard 7 inch headlamps with built in gauges?
Lastly, what pipes would you recommend to get the best performance and sound. I'd like to keep with the trumpet/cafe style.
