do you visit the bar that is next to the sea on the rocks and has a platform that projects over the water? i didnt remember the name of tha bar but my companies agent took me there. also the lake on the opposite side of the road.

As far as the bar is concerned, if you don't remember the name, you probably had a good time! In the last years I rarely hit the big clubs near the sea, but if not too crowded they can be really nice...

the bar was more of a little shack, was beautifull though, wasnt a big club and the sea lapped against the rocks under the platform at the bar. i did go to a bigger place nearer to glyfada and near to the exclusive area on the peninsula of land that projects out from near glyfada. i stayed in a hotel called 'fenix' one time right on the highway that runs next to the sea.

i prefered to stay in castella in the cavo d'oro hotel. i used to visit piraous and elefsina but always stayed in castella......was like being on holiday for me down by the marina in tha bar apaloosa, sadly last time i was there the apaloosa bar had been redeveloped.

maybe one day i will ride my capo to eveoa and ride down to athens. if my capo can make it that far.

About the bar, you must be refering to a small wooden kiosk in a small gulf below the twists of Vouliagmeni... It's nice there, but I haven't gone there for almost 15 years...

...and the capo can make it not only to Greece from the UK, but around the world and back, as long as you take good care of it... I hope we could get together and ride it out sometime...

yes i found the shack/bar on google satelite maps. i tried to upload the picture but it didnt work. it is on a horse shoe bend where as i remember there were tyre marks form cars and bikes taking it fast.

it must be an excallent place to go on your bike on a sunny saturday evening.

as soon as my son, who is only 6 weeks old, is old enough to give my wife a break i will start going on touring trips again, and maybe to see you guys.

well its early days yet but for the first 7 weeks he has been a little angel.

it will be A long time before he can ride on the back of the caponord, it will probably be long dead by the time he is big enough for that, but i acnt wait to take him out on some adventures.

yes the place in the satelite view, thats the place where i went. you are lucky to live near such beautiful places.

oh yeah and my washing machine has just flooded my kitchen. (as i write this) i have nutured that thing, new drum bearings, new motor brushes and how does it treat me! wife says it has to go. its only 11 years old :( just needs a new pressure switch.

Hi all,

I'm Yanis, Tserts's fellow traveler/capo owner of this magnificent journey.
Today is the one year anniversary of the end of that journey.
We look back to those days with nostalgia, both fortunate and unfortunate events inposed us to change our plans, as per this year's annual road trip.
Any misfortune apart, we'll be able to manage a 10 days trip to Turkey or Bulgaria.
For the last 6 months Tserts undertook the project of being a father to his 6months old son ; silly guy, not in the genes to pull through such work
