Saw the doctor today, he says i have a broken left foot so i'll have to stick Dave's 'easy' trails from the pics above except now i'm not allowed to stand.

broke the foot back in november and the docs have finally decided to cast it. anyone think wreckluse can fabricate a cast friendly shifter? Wes?

Thanks for a great Sunday ride fellas and sorry if my new jacket has left anyone visually impaired. It's the textile version of, "hey, watch this".

Who's going to "church" on Sunday, i'm feeling the need for some old time religion.
Hey all,

I tried to help out with the jacket problem by throwing up a big roost of mud but the mighty v-strom was too quick and RockyRider got out of the way. oh well, there is always next time or the time after that. We do have a bit of riding time ahead of us.

It was a fun ride as the bikes were so far apart on the DS spectrum. They pushed me on gravel and slab but I got my revenge on quad tracks. ;-) The KLX is really really squirelly on the highway at 120. ;-)

No pics of the KLX was that, when it go interesting I kept on disappearing up "goat tracks".

Sunday rides are a must in my books. I am in for one on the 28th of June. I will bring more gas next time so we can extend the day.

Dave

Pouring rain at 530am, but it's Sunday and time to ride. I dressed warmly and made my way out to the meeting place in Cochrane. A while later Earl showed. We waited and waited and when nobody showed up we knew it must be you guys. ;-)

Headed out into the driving rain, up the 40 and down the transalta road to the Ghost valley. By the time we got there, the rain had stopped and it turned into a pleasant day:

Time for a few artsy shots:

Black Rock Peak in the background. It never cleared off enough to see the fire lookout:

We went down the valley a ways, following the track and criss-crossing the river bed at times. Found these cool cliffs right beside the dry river bed:

We continued down the river. Found some single track to play around in and then headed back the way we came. Took a couple of pics on the way out:

We were back at the Starbucks in Cochrane at about 2pm

Another great ride. Thanks Earl!
Always amazes me how much there is within a short distance of Calgary. Saw no other motorbikes out there the whole day!

I was with you in spirit Trent! I was flogging the bigbluetractor through some bogs and greasy trails up at Mountain Aire Lodge north of you. I'll post video later

Good on ya!

Good on ya fellas. I'm feeling woosie for not getting out of my cozy bed to fight through the hail and rain to get to waiporous. no regrets though, a nice cup a cafe au lait by the fireplace was it's own reward on Sunday.

Aggresive Strom

Hey Calrider,

You gotta admit those 2moto tracks would look awesome on the strom and i could ride it in the snow. Thanks for a wonderful idea. now i'm dreaming of carving the strom up snowy mountains in Revelstoke next winter.

Now that would be a sight! I think you guys on the big bikes are redefining what they can be used for...

Hey Baby, once you go BIG, you never go back.

And really, i'm dreaming of roosting snow off a track behind my Strom. It would be awesome to cruise around Revy on it for supper after a day of riding it on Boulder.
