Way to go, Allen!! Who says the KLR isn't a dirt bike!

Rick (at Cogent Dynamics) is an AWESOME guy. Joyce (his wife) is great, too--hence the lifesavers in every package they send out!!) Have ridden "with" him a few times (er, rather well behind him, that is!) Looking to score a MOAB shock for my own KLR soon.

+1 on Rick and Joyce being extremely nice and very helpful over the phone, and their shock is truely a "Lifesaver".

I really never thought a KLR could be made to handle as well as mine did for this event.

For all those still pondering the purchase of a Cogent shock....just go ahead and do it, you won't regret it.

Update on the stripped/broken peg bolts.

I took 3/8th in. thick 2 in. wide steel flat for use on the front of the box that's welded onto the frame. I drilled and threaded the plates, welded nuts on the back, giving me double the thread depth. I used grade 8 bolts 8x30mm. I just need to do a little painting and I'll post up some pics of the repair.
