Tellico offroad trail recommendation request?

I would like to ask if someone can give me a recommendation for the best offroad trails to ride in the Tellico area. I have a map of the Upper Tellico ORV trail system but while searching some of this website it seems I saw some pictures of trails that showed only Motorcycles, horses and people allowed. Is this the same ORV type trail or is this another trail system. I would prefer this type of smaller trail to ride and wanted to know which trail system is which and also if someone could recommend a convenient town or area to stay in if I am wanting to do a couple of days offroad biking. I will be hauling my bikes by truck as I am offroad only and not street legal if it matters on route planning. Thanks for any advice or help. TM

The Tellico OHV trails are closed. There's a bunch of good riding, but a lot requires connecting trails/roads on pavement. Go see Mike at Tellico Motorcycle Outfitters in Tellico Plains when you get in the area, he'll get you pointed in the right direction. Alternately, you can check out Royal Blue, Coal Creek, and Brimstone. All three are offroad areas located north of Knoxville that require permits but have everything from single track to fire/jeep roads.

In addition to picking Mike's brain send a PM to TellicoCamper for info on what trails are open to ride in the area.
