Here are a few pics of you guys riding.
My wife took them from inside the car.
I have more, some posted on the photobucket site, and still have full res versions.
Have fun!
Mark

And they must have already been in front of that camper. Certainly couldn't have passed in that location.

We leave The Grand Canyon and head for Bryce Canyon. A quick stop to add some brake fluid. There is a tiny leak in the master cylinder which I plan on rebuilding when I get to Colorado.

Lots of cool rock formations along the way.

After Bryce we head to Escalante.

We have been meeting lots of nice people along the way, especially at the scenic pullouts. Here we met The Desert Doctor who runs a motorcycle repair shop in Escalante if you need parts, repairs, a tow or directions he can help you out.

The Desert Dr.

While I was talking to the Dr. my GF met another couple who happen to be ADV Riders and they added some pictures to our report for us.

ADV Riders

My GF cannot stop taking pictures the scenery is eyond amazing and seems to go on forever. It will blow you away.

Look closely at the wall and you will see drawings of aliens that were here about a thousand years ago and decided to make Utah a great place to ride motorcycles. The wall and surrounding landscape is KTM orange for a reason.

Dirt Bike Heaven.

After an amazing ride through Escalante we spend the night in Green River and the next morning head into Arches and Moab.

Is this Mars?

We find some dirt.

After spending most of the day in Arches and Moab we take the 128 which serpentines along the mighty Colorado River.

We leave Utah and head for the high mountain passes and cooler air of Colorado.

As we ride into Colorado the scenery changes and the temps drop. Lots of elevation and mountain passes here. We spend the night in Delta then the next morning take the 92 to the 133 then the 82 to Aspen and then the 24 to Vail. Looking for fourteeners.

Colorado Rocky Mountain High. For some reason the 1100 seems to run better than the 1200 at high altitudes.

Having lived in the Caribbean for the last 15 years I always get excited when I see snow.

We stop in Leadville and have a nice lunch then it is off to Vail.

It is a nice drop into Vail.

Vail Village is a great place to spend a Sunday afternoon.

And a huge thanks to Rachel for letting us stay in her beautiful condo.

After 3 great days in Vail we load up and head for Denver.

We get off I 70 in Dillon and head up to the Loveland Pass.

It is cold up here! I dig my fleece out of the bag and we head down the mountain.

We stop for lunch and head into Denver the back way.

Some great beer with an old friend. This restaurant was just up the street from the Coors brewery, they have a special pipe that this beer comes from.

The GS spends the night in the stables with the horses.

I really want one of these!

SWEET!

Some horse time.

After a great morning of riding then back on the bike for the long ride east. But first a ride up the Peak to Peak highway and into Rocky Mountain National Park.

Don't feed the Chipmonks!

Lava walls.

Lots of wildlife.

Now we drop out of the Rockies for the long slog East across the flyover states.

Not a turn in sight.

Nothing but farmland out here.

Beam me up Scotty!

Finally after 4 days of cornfields we arrive in

West Virginia

Mountain momma

Take me home........

It is soooo nice to be back in the mountains, curvy roads and lots of wildlife.

Lots of gravel roads that run off of the Parkway offer many opportunities to explore.

Some of the gravel roads look like they merge back onto the Parkway but sometimes they go under the Parkway with no access to the Parkway.

This is a great time of year to ride the Blue Ridge Parkway it is cool and there is almost no traffic. Be careful it is a Federal offense if you get caught speeding up here.

Funeral procession

We drop down out of the mountains to visit some friends in Mt. Airy.
Mayberry RFD

My friend has a few toys.

I want that GS100!

After 4 days of fun and music....

It was time to hit the road again.

The top of Mt. Mitchell is cold even in the summer.

When we get down to SC we head east for the coast.

We ride out to Folley Island.

We try to get a room at the Holiday Inn but it is booked solid.

So we head back into Charlston to find a place to stay in the Historic district.

Lots to see and do in Charlston.

more to come

So we leave Charlston and head down to Savanah for lunch on the River Front.

Then we blast off for Daytona Beach

It is high tide so there is no riding on the beach today.

Home at last

THE END

Don't know how I missed this one before. Great stuff. As much as I enjoy new places in trip photos I also love seeing places I've been too - sometimes the same shots I've taken. They bring back great memories. Much appreciated.

Did you live in Cochrane a bit or the bike was just stored there? As for Melbourne, I was just there recently. My mother has a winter condo in Cocoa Beach. Thanks again for taking me along. Better late than never.
