We took some pretty good roads back home.

We hit a few small rain showers and a lot of the roads were wet but it was a good ride.
Good route, DQ. Oh, and good food!

On the way to DQ's house, I ran into Hwy 471 being closed and all traffic being routed down Luckney Rd, so I got to sit still for long periods of time, motor off, and wait (train was crossing, too). Then on my way home after the ride, I ride up on a wreck at Luckney and Lakeland. Avalanche off in the ditch, EMS / FloPo not on scene yet. Looked like someone ran the yellow or turned in front of on coming traffic. People are crazy!

Nope on the Farah poster but I'm sure someone here probably does.

Trip was good except for the constant threat of rain, stupid cops and the abundant Harley trains. All of which was encountered and dealt with swiftly.

Yea I wish I could put another trip together this year for up there maybe just on the Tenere, no camper, no wife and certainly no protégés. Its peaceful up there especially on a 600 lb bike off in the woods.

I've got a few more track dates planned but hell I might squeeze a quick weekend trip up that way but certainly Hollar at me if you get the itch to go and I will go with ya.

Jeff prolly dragged you through all the good roads I know of here. Lol I have not touched my Tenere since the Utah trip back in July. It probably won't crank.

Now that you have a "real bike", there are lots of gravel roads to show you!!!

Sounds good....I was worried I'd have to slow down to "gordy speeds" with a dual purpose bike; however, I think the opposite might hold true. You can rip on the 990 and the suspension takes what Mississippi roads like to give.

Did you see the washed up truck on the opposite side of the river?

I know where it is but it wasn't visible from where I was, but I think it would be fairly easy to get to from where I was. Might have to do that one day.
