Just another day bear scouting
Took off after lunch since I had to get rid of some overtime from Saturday, and told the wife that I was going and to not look for me before 5. I took the
camelbak ![]() I got out there to check on my Geocache ![]() ![]() Looked like it was in good shape, last visitor was on the 15th of May. ![]() re exploring. ![]() ![]() ![]() Found some garbage way up a road. Stinking losers. ![]() ![]() Well I'll report that later! ![]() Well that was a dead end ![]() I'm refraining from using smileys because they also count as images and you can only have 20 per post. Bummer huh. LOL Found another cool spot for camping, dead end and lots of grass. ![]() Classic bridge/bike picture ![]() Look! MUD!!! ![]() ![]() Classic mirror picture. ![]() Then it hit me after I saw this, that I forgot my gun...I do that all the time....Hello that's one of the reasons I bought the gun was to have with me out there in the woods. ![]() I went down a half dozen roads like this, each one getting deeper and darker, and me again thinking about why didn't I bring my gun. Dee Dee Dee ![]() Ok I'll be back in a few minutes "the rest of the story" __________________ ![]() One out of four people in this country are mentally unbalanced. Think of your three closest friends. If they seem normal you're the one! 2006 KLX 250S You ever get one of those feelings that someone or something is watching you. Yea me too... I was rounding a corner and then I saw the biggest bear ever! For real, of course he was running away so I couldn't get the Blackberry out fast enough, but I did get one of what my face looked like. ![]() then a couple more miles down the road, I came across this. It was so fresh that the flies hadn't even found it yet. ![]() I was so excited that I hit the front brake and nearly dumped the bike as you can see in this skid mark. That's from the front tire! ![]() I got off the bike to take another picture with something for reference. ![]() So from there I headed back out to see where these roads would take me. ![]() Choices...choices. That's the great thing about the GPS, you can try and get lost but its nearly impossible. ![]() Some of these roads went on and on, cool places. ![]() ![]() ![]() Some logging site machinery ![]() Back home I discovered that my pelican box was all twisted, turns out that the front clamp broke. So it was a quick trip to the store (on the KLX of course) to pick up a new one. ![]() First time the box has been off in 3 years. Not bad considering how bumpy the gravel roads are around here. ![]() Of course a wash was in order then I installed the case and its all back to normal. ![]() One final shot from the bedroom window as I am writing this. LOL ![]() __________________ ![]() One out of four people in this country are mentally unbalanced. Think of your three closest friends. If they seem normal you're the one! 2006 KLX 250S

nice
I lived in Tillamook Or. for some time and I forgot how I missed the summer on the coast until now. Bend is great but the green of the coast range is nice, in the summer.
