I want to do that route from Durango - Mezquital - Temohaya - Jesus García - Ruiz - San Blas but I have a question: What's the maximum distance between a gas station and other? I know in Mezquital are one, but I'm not sure about Temohaya... Jesús García should have one.

Aaron y Sredak, me gustaría mucho ir de Durango a Mazatlán, o bien, de Durango a San Blas y finalmente Mazatlán; pero por terracería principalmente. En el caso de llegar a San Blas, el tramo final a Mazatlán lo haría en pavimento, pero me gustaría mucho que el tramo principal fuera terracería. Conocen algunas rutas posibles? Gracias por sus comentarios y sugerencias.

Creo que sredak te podría orientar mejor sobre la ruta por Mezquital y de ahí a San Blas, la cual ya lleva buena parte pavimentada pero también te tocará un poco de tierra.

Para la ruta Durango - Mazatlán los quadheads.com la están organizando para próximas fechas a la cual sredak y yo queremos ir. Conforme vaya sabiendo te informo.

No soy positivo sobre su ruta, sino que pienso que es igual....sin embargo, en todo caso él debe tener algunas buenas sugerencias para usted

I have done the route Zacatecas - San Blas por terraceria y si hay gasolina en cada pueblito.

Arte, cuando piensas hacer esa ruta? Es un grupo grande? Nos podríamos unir yo y otros tres zafados? Nosotros estamos en Monterrey y nos queremos ir desde aqui por terracería principalmente. Como es el plan de ustedes?

Ozz - whatever became of that issue couple years back with your Zumo not working with the jury-rigged wiring on the KLR.

I can tell you that I found out, experiencing the same problem recently, that the Zumo is VERY sensitive to wire impedance. When I spliced the factory Zumo wires with different guage wires to make an alternative connection to hardwired power - it didn't kick on. When I returned to the factory wiring from the Zumo mount to the battery using the original OEM Zumo cradle cable - worked fine.

Also, let me know if you've done or care to do your KLR doo - I have all the tools, all you need are the gaskets and the Eagle Mike kit and it can get done

The new balancer levers are supposed to be robust but I went ahead and swapped it out, and put in Eagle Mike's torsion spring - just took a little over an hour doing it by myself the first time, the next time will go by swiftly.

Sólo conozco la parte de El Salto a La Ciudad precisamente por esa terracería o bordo del tren que dejó Porfirio Díaz como bien dices. Alguien que seguro conoce la ruta que mencionas es Miguel Ángel, sus datos vienen en: http://www.endurodurango.com/

Es de los endureros que conocen más rutas por estos rumbos. La verdad yo soy más "doble propósito" jeje
