I got $4500 for a 1991 Jeep Cherokee, that I paid $3000 for, 5 years ago. Made 50% on my investment and had the use of a Jeep for 5 years.

I'm finally on the receiving end of a Gov't hand out. That's never happened before. They'll get it back 50 times over in the next 10 years. Better hurry up and quit my job.

Don't need a job with the new healthcare program

Hook me up with your secret, I lost my job and they're denying my unemployment. I have a hearing the 10th, if you're a lawyer come with me lol. Broke, unemployed, and going to school now. I can't get help to save my life!

akarob...you posted in the either the Northwest or Nutmeg TOR that the next meetup might be in East Hartford? Any truth to that?

Sure, in a few weeks. Look in the "CT Burger Run" thread. I'm gonna try to keep it going once a month. This will be the third one.

skubi... hang in there, things will improve DESPITE the meddling of the new administration. Keep looking and furthering your education in just about any field is a great plan right now!
akarob, no new bike yet. My options are wide open right now and I've got some cash from the SVS. In fact, I am in North Carolina (OBX) all week and will probably look a few bikes here.
The secret to selling the bike in a poor economy was that I kept it in great shape and priced it realistically (slightly under book value). I had calls from as far away as NY and Pa.

Still on anyone?

Trucked the "new" street ride home from NY today. An HD Dyna Superglide. 96 CI, fuel injected, 6 speed. Handles like a Harley and a lot of fun. Should have it all legal for a Tues night ride.
