I don't know how well defined "Appalachia" really is and I think almost all of us would drive 25-30 miles to save 2 cents a gallon on a fillup. It isn't worth making a mountain out of this. It would be ideal if tags were in hill country for this one all the time though. Hm. That would make a cool commercial for a "fun to drive" car. "Honey, I'm just going out to fill up the car." Scenes of driving past gas station after gas station, long twisty roads, beaches, stop for gas, more scenes of driving, then pulling back into the driveway just as the low fuel light comes on...

Somebody go grab it and put it in a proper mountain then there's nothing to complain about.

Oh, and this is an interesting and historical spot so that makes it better. Seeing this place up close is probably worth the trip.

could see it (the top of the natural draft tower & steam plume from _____1) out my office window in _____, PA

ok, I figgered it'd fly, just in my usual bitchy "it's raining like a female bovine urinating on a parallel surfaced frious object" mood

unfortunately, it's like 500+ miles for me, so somebody go put it on South Mountain or Mt Davis or somewhere IN THE FRICKING APPALACHIAN MOUNTAINS

Cool. Since this game is located in the Southeast region maybe when you post a new tag you could add a bump in the Northeast region. Unless of course you're bringing it back South.

Great time for a scenic ride to check the fall foliage up here in New England

I will toss it up in the NE regional.

I am not big on file photos, but in the interest of keeping the game moving, I will in this occasion.

This is one of three towns in America with the name Ulysses. Guess which state it is in?

While chatting with the family at supper, I realized this is the sixth different ToR that I have tagged in.

Thanks cahoona for letting me know about this thread.

No problem. You see, I had alterior motives. I just wanted to see where the good places to ride down there are. It has been working wonderfully.

Shame that I most likely will not be making the trip this year.

I have placed a couple more posts about this game in some NE forums. If nobody grabs it soon, I can post a different location if that is wanted.

Skyclad,

I just found this thread thanks to you! I am heading about 800 or so miles south next week. I'll see if I can grab it. That is as long as everyone else doesn't mind waiting a few days for the move. I was going to move the North American Tag, but don't know if I can get to it on the way...

The New York taggers have been told as well...
