I still think we can find the one you posted. You've given us enough information to deduce which side and narrow down the area a tiny bit. Soon enough with all the land yachts peeping at leaves there'll be plenty of time to look around and watch the views from the road.

But if several other folks want a new tag we can do that. I've been the lone ranger before and don't want to screw up this game just because I think it's okay for it to be a challenge.

I think I'll move there when I retire and become a "Damn" Yankee instead of a just plain old Yankee Seriously, other than northeastern New Mexico that is some of the prettiest country I have ever seen.

Sweet link. I'll have this puppy narrowed down in no time. Luckily I'm the only one to think of comparing the views through this to find the tag spot.

..uh oh..

More clues

Here are some better images from the Tag location. To better isolate the location we passed Mabry Mill around 11:30-12:00 heading South and were maintaining a fairly good clip. I'll try to add more clues as my feeble mind remembers.

I think I found it using that link...It sure looks like it. I'll give it a little time before I let any more hints out. BTW there is two inches of snow on the ground here....WTF? Got back just in time!

Here's a submission. It's the Yadkin Valley Overlook, just before Blowing Rock and before the bridge where the Parkway crosses Hwy 321. It's the pair of trees that I recognized.

That's confirmation enough for me.

The new tag will be coming up in the morning. I'll get it on the way to work.

Yes Indeed! Good job I had finally realized where I had put it after figuring what time we left Mabry Mill and looking through the views of the overlooks.
