burger/beer is at StraightAway Cafe on NC 9 between Black Mt & Bat Cave lessee, between Old Fort Rd & NC 9 intersection and the other Old Fort Rd & NC 9 intersection ... on ...wait for it ....... the long "straightaway"

the burger is as far as I've ventured into the menu .... when I find somepin good I stick with it

the music Fri-Sat nites is pretty good too

and wifi

the TDM is waiting for me to pull the tranny, the PO abused her and third gear wants to slip out under load, but affordable and something I always wanted, so I grabbed her up

as soon as I get Tigger looked at now .... she is a deer magnet

yep last night I was ambushed again!!

Friday I'll take her to Meyers to get an insurance appraisal, little bits of yeller plaskick scattered on Bills Creek Rd

me, I'm a little sore ... and happy I'm kinda lucky ...

think I'm gonna get some deer whistles or something

the horned forest rat score is
Tigger 2
XT 1
TDM 0

and counting

Damn Phreak !!!! What cologne do you wear that's attracting all them does? I've lived here for over twenty years and haven't seen a deer at night and you've hit 3 while riding????!!!??? I'm really glad you're OK. I hope Tigger recovers soon. I was psyched to see you tagging again.

well the one a couple years ago on the XT was a near miss, face plant while dodging

From that I got a broke shoulder, plate & screws to repair, that led to a Desmonds tumor at the repair site, so another surgery to remove plate & screws and remove part of the tumor and figure out what it was, then 6 wks (30 treatments) of radiation to kill the rest of the kudzu in my shoulder.

I do a lot better with my personal physical well being if I just hit the damn things than if I dodge 'em

I assume this is in WNC? I have tracked down the name of the road (combination of aquatic wildlife and common name for flora I believe) but there are a few instances.

Great tagging Gaston! And the new one is easy to find. Wish I had time to go after it. You may want to throw up a mention in the VA and WVA TORs. The App TOR has sat in Western NC for so long, many of our mountain neighbors may have stopped watching.

Bumpity bump

Come on folks. The weather is getting nice. Get out there and grab this thing. I just don't quite have the time to make a 800 mile tag ride. But it is tempting.

Don't jinx my thread killing abilities. I'm beginning to think that I can even kill a TOR thread.

Shhhh. If you keep bumping that tag up somebody'll get it before I can get it in May or June some time.

Maybe I'll have to take a ride with my fiancee to her father's house. I know I've seen that spot on the way to his house.

Grab! Aarrff was here!

Awe Shucks! I bet this goes back to Carolina. This spot is just exactly where it appears to be at Bishop W Va. on Highway 16.
