Strom Rider in Chattanooga

About 4:30 today, Black Strom, rider ATGATT, just north of the GA border that blocked me in traffic while I was driving like an asshole in my rental cage;

I didn't get the chance to say:

Here we stopped on 215 just south of the BRP - 215 really is one of my favorite roads:

Met a fellow ADV'er on a grey ??(it was after dark) 1200 GS with a boat load of farkels in Chattanooga Friday night. Said his user name was "corwood" or something similar. Due to the "quiet" exhaust on my old Uly it was hard to hear what he was saying, lol

I am glad to find this thread, however, I wish I would have been more observant and saluted more of you last weekend. I rode up to Suches on Sunday Aug. 9th early morning 7am and came back by 12pm-1230pm.

Rode up via 400N to 60 and then 180. Made a stop at T.W.O. Saw quite a few thumpers parked there and a few had ADV stickers. Then rode back down 60 to 400S and saw a large pack headed toward the mountains. Then at one stop light saw a Dakar and a KLR? may be? riding together headed north as well....should have really taken some pictures and gave them the salute but next time I will know better!

I rode with N8, he was on his Dakar and I was on my Black F650GS!

Did anybody know Audie Burnette? He was not a member here. We have the same last name, but are not related. He passed away yesterday morning on the South Dalton Bypass when a unlicensed Hispanic driver pulled out directly in front of him. Killed instantly. Its a damn shame to loose fine folks like Audie. He will be missed. Two teenage sons and a wife are left without a husband and father due to a dumbfuck not taking the time to look before turning into the path of Audie's bike.

Luckily they are charging the driver with second degree vehicular homicide and a long list of other offences.

Wow...sad news indeed. I was just up on the Dalton By-Pass on Monday; saw a middle-aged gent on a BMW R1200GS in a pair of shorts and a t-shirt. Never met Audie but my thoughts are with his family.

[quote=NoMystery]Was it a super clean red 1100GS? With a very sweet sounding exhaust? That'd be the guy who recently bought it off my dad. Still get to see/hear it ridden by in the area quite a bit. Totally blanking on the guy's name, but a very nice guy, who also drives a big red Dodge to match. Wonder if he has found his way to this site yet...

edit: His name is Coby, somethin'...[/quote

Cobi Mathews, met him a Kroger the other nigh while gasing up the Tiger.

I must have just missed you because I saw him pulling into the Kroger on 140 just the other night on my way home from work. He was in a pair of shorts and a t-shirt.

Wasn't me. ATGATT (Well, sometimes you might catch me in jeans instead of my riding pants, but never a T-shirt, but the jacket is always on, even if it's 100 in the shade.)
