Float Plane

you can bring your plane. i have a friend who landed there before and took my brother-in-law for a spin on his plane. i missed out
if you are really going to bring the plane ( i think you are kidding) i must be there to get it on film. i can get lots of gas out there if you are serious.

northern rally

gas will not be a problem I'll make sure of that.i have a dock as well where he can tie up the plane or we can haul it up on the beach .it's all sand where we are. i would love to go up and look the lake over from above.

Well, I calculate that it would take me 2.5 hours to fly there versus a whole day ride on the KLR. Ontario is such a big place. I'd hate to show up at a rally and not ride so maybe I could trade you a plane ride for a ride on one of your many fine bikes. I am a bit worried about gas, but I can burn regular grade auto gas so if there is a way to get about four 5 gal cans to your camp it would save me a trip to Thunder Bay to get avgas.

I can carry way more than a bike so I would have tent, sleeping bag, cooler full of beer etc. Sand beach is good if no dock space available.

Finndian, I won't do an in-canyon flight, but if you want to come with me I can pick you up on the Wawa Lake beach, but be forewarned... if you have time to spare travel by air.

Heres what I did today...caught our limit of walleye, daytime trolling. Just finished filleting them. Some of those flyin lakes are polluted with walleyes.

Thanks North Rider. A fish fry sounds good. I can't transport more than the daily possession limit of walleyes and pike at a time because the COs like to check floatplanes for obvious reasons. Hows the fishing on Dog Lake? You got a boat...maybe we can go catch supper. If every rider brings 4 fish that would be enough.

fishing at dog lake

THE FISHING AT DOG LAKE IS GREAT . I AM A CRAPPY FISHERMAN. HARD TO ADMIT FOR A PORTUGUESE BUT TRUE. I DID CATCH MY FIRST WALLEYE YESTERDAY . ONLY ONE .I DO HAVE A BOAT. have fishing rods as well but feel free to bring your own.you need to go up to the river to really fish .i have never gone up that way .mostly we just fish around the camp but there are lot's of fish there because my neighbors catch them all the time.i have been at camp lot's in the last week .i think we could have a great rally in sept.

by the way my SUPER TENERE is getting delivered in 2 hours. that's why i just drove in from camp

Yes. The Super Tenere looks great. Did Yamaha sell that bike in Canada before and dropped it? Maybe the Tenere that is popular in Europe will be sold in Canada soon. I might be looking to upgrade soon.

super tenere

Canada got the SUPER TENERE in 1990 and i think 1991. this one is a 1990 and it is in great shape for a 19 year old bike. it has under 18,000 klms. i am very happy with it. you never know what you get buying unseen bikes. this one came from the middle of B.C. it just got dropped off this afternoon. i have been after one for a while.i think i might have to sell this one .it's too nice for me .i am one of those guys who does not polish ( wash) his bikes much.
