But WTF if you’re donating and I can swing this I’m taking and I’ll do my bestest at this RawHyde’s Adventure Rider Challenge “Double Jeopardy” Thing with a jersey with you alls names on it.

Thanks and Have A Nice Day

I believe we have something going with this one.
I will talk to Hacky/MMama and Barb at movie night and we'll get the ball rolling.
Start saving a few coins so we can move this plan into the reality column.
More later.

In!
Great Ride Africa. Sweet.
I'll pass the word to Ace, Tread, and the King. Get a Cali-vibe thing going.
Maybe someone (trustworthy) can set up a pay pal dealie so we can donate? Maybe do some shirts to buy for swag with profits going toward the trip (Like Snortin' Boar Racing)
Just thinking aloud.

To clarify, the trip is to California. If he places in the top 3, he's on team USA. The Africa trip is gratis for team members (that's how I read it, anyway). So, we only have to get him and his bike to Cali this time. Barb

Oh. Well in that case, he can stay at my place.

Or at mine.

We're going to trailer the GS w/ a hack to Seattle in August to run the Alcan5000 again & would have plenty room on the trailer for Hacky's rig.

I've got an idea.......it will involve a raffle of a motorcycle. Proceeds over and above an embarrasingly low net value will be donated to Hacky's Californication trip. I'll bounce the idea off of Barb and Fite tonight at movie night. I'll even through in some of my own loot.

Hacky is the best ADV rider I know of when it comes to skill, balance, speed, maintenance and repair of his steed while on the road. He is ALWAYS prepared. That preparation usually benefits his fellow riders rather than Hacky due to his immaculately prepared bike. His tools and know-how are usually lavished on those less-well prepared, or who are just unfortunate to have experienced a "mechanical" on the road.

He does take his representation seriously.

Pretty impressive how he got the Alaska Leather sign into the shot. On his tip-toes, over the shoulder and in traffic. Quite the display.

...followed immediately by a hi-wheel wheelie all the way through the intersection on a fully loaded pig about 2 seconds after this shot, as I recall.

My webgirl got the donate button functioning today! Front page lower left at www.alaskaleather.com. This is exciting. And don't forget, every dollar adds up. Thanks! Barb

raffle

A raffle is a great idea,,,,but
A raffle has to be run under a state gaming permit. Non Profit! How about a lions club or some organization running the raffle under their permit?

Too many rules and then we'd have to print posters, sell tickets. The non-profit usually wants a cut. It's kind of a small endeavor to do that much work when we can all throw a little in the hat and get it done. Already 2 donations posted today for $10.00 each. Thanks, Barb
