Feel the power of the Signal Hill noon day canon as you stand next to it as it fires over CT since the 1800`s and be part of the shot counter adding one.
Have fish and chips on Chapmans peak that you bought from Fish on the Rocks in Hout Bay
Sat in the Brass bell in Kalk bay harbour with Old Brown Sherry watching huge waves rolling towards you lapping at the thick glass windows right next to you.
Braai a snoek.
Wow DS, now you made me want for some of our own.
Pity the weather is so bad today, but the weekend looks great so now I know what I'm going to be doing Saturday

This place was quite far from the Katse Dam reservoir. We were most of the time 2000+m in Lesotho so it's pretty high place overall. Almost like Heaven on Earth! And one of our most favourite countries in Africa so far as well

Katse dam itself it's just unbelievably huge - see 2-lane the road going below it:

For the supper we were invited to August's house where he lives with his wife and three children. Before we could start gorging on the delicious pancakes he had made, he said: "Now we pray!" Half expecting of something embarassing to happen, we stood up. We have never been very religious as such, and travelling around the world has made us even less religious in many senses (or have we become just more tolerant towards all religions and not biased towards one?). But all that followed was a brief thank you for the God for us arriving safely, and a request for the safe continuation of our journey, then the mandatory "Amen", and that was it! No over-the-top ceremony, and it was refreshing for us - we never had prayers said like this.

Because Lesotho is made up of mountains, great views are kind of everywhere you look, but what we saw from the windows of August's house was truly spectacular, like a divine show. There are really no words to describe it, just look for yourself.

Coffee Bay, back in South Africa

No one really knows how Coffee Bay, a village on South-African east coast, got its name. Some guess that it might have been due to a ship carrying a load of coffee crashing on the shore. But it does not really matter as the place draws people like the smell of fresh coffee in the morning. Normally we are skeptical towards places that are too popular, but soon enough we had to put our preconceptions behind. Quite unlike its cosy, trendy name, it has real power. We spent hours on the beach observing the battle between water and wind, climbing the overgrown hills above the ocean, until the sun had set.

Only once, but I reckon maybe because I don't look exacly like a typical surfboarding hippyboy with me beard and serious looks on those suspicious dealer guys on the streets.

Actually we were trying to source a Sigma dSLR for us some time ago with a couple of lenses to bring our photography to even higher level, but we can now say Sigma Japan has no interest in outside-the-studio sponsorship deals and Sigma America seems to focus on American clients only, so I guess we have to live without it unless we come from Hollywood. Oh yes, the only thing Sigma US replied was: "Thank you for your photos, we will use them in our promotional presentation." (End of message)
