had you given them permission to use your photos? Because otherwise I'd have told them to go pound salt, or pay for them.

meanwhile, keep up the good work...you two ROCK!

It's been a long time pleasure reading and seeing your RR.
As I want to keep it and congratulate you both for such an adventure, the beers are on me. I drink here, you drink somewhere ( I would offer them, anyway, if we met).
There's still so much to ride. Ride on and fill your world with the marvelous experiencies only travellers can taste. You'll have a lifetime to digest them with the priceless reward of knowing that you became much better persons.
Thank you for keeping the "pass" open.

tsiklonaut and Kariina have become photojournalists of the highest order. That they gift us all with this report at the price of an internet connection speaks to their great spirit in enriching other peoples' lives as they enrich their own.

East-London

After having seen enough of the frothy waters we headed to Gonubie, a town near East London. We were greeted by Michnus and Elsebie whom we had already met in Nairobi - they're both traveling on a F650 GS, and they had just left their bikes in Addis Abeba and flown back home to work for a while before continuing their journey somewhere north. They suggested we'd stay for a couple of days and that's what we did - exchanging our stories, drinking damn good Ethiopian coffee, having jaccuzzi, eating all sorts of delicacies such as BBQ'ed ostrich and the local speciality, biltong, and even meeting the epic ADV famer Metaljockey who lives only two houses from Michnus and Elsebie. We were totally spoiled!

Typical anvironment and architecture in the windy Transkei region - this is the Nelson Mandela land!

A house in East London.

From Germany with Love

I hope that your travels are going well. I live in Bamberg, Germany if you need a place to crash. I also have a garage with all the tools and supplies you would need for any maintenance concerns.
Also, for other locations there is an excellent site called couchsurfer.com. The idea is that you can find people that are willing to host you all over the world, usually for free. It is a kind of "pay it forward" idea.
Stay safe and enjoy the trip of a lifetime!
